Finding a job can be such a long and difficult process. This single mom has been out of work due to a medial condition and has just recently been cleared to go back at her full capacity. She has been working in fast food while she looks for something more consistent, but it isn't really enough for her to pay her bills. Mom was just approved for an income based payment plan through Duke, but it will not take affect for a couple billing cycles. Mom does not currently have the $171 due to Duke at this time and is very concerned about falling into disconnect. The complex where she lives has a policy that could cause her to be evicted if a utility bill is in disconnect. Please consider helping this mom and her child stay in their home with the lights on. This mother of 4 is working to stay on top of bills, however has gotten behind on her electric bill. She works full time, but still struggles to make enough to pay all of her necesities on time, due to the high cost of living. Her electric bill is due tomorrow and needs $320 in order to pay on time. If not paid, the bill will significantly go up (and will also take her off of her PIPP payment plan) which could lead to it being disconnected in the near future. Thank you for considering!

An 18 year old student who is about to graduate is in dire need of school fees being paid. This student has made it very far, all while working, he is set to graduate and will still be able to walk regardless, but will not recieve transcripts if the high fee is not paid. This student owes $450 in school fees which unforutanately, the fees are some that cannot be waived by the school. While this is a lot of money.. if togethe,r the community is willing to donate some money towards these fees, it could make such a huge difference for his future. Thank you so much for considering!

This single mom of 3 is looking for help with her electric bill this month. She got behind trying to get caught up on other things. This single mom is looking for help with a gas card this week! Money has been tight due to other bills and needs and she is now in need of some help with a gas card in order to get to work and to be able to safely transport her 3 daughters to and from school and other activities. And not being able to get to work would put her further behind financially. Thank you!

With 7 kids, clothing can be very expensive. This family is requesting gift cards to Gabe's or Walmart so they can purchase clothes for their kids. Four of the kids are teenagers and would love to be able to pick out their own items with a gift card.

This family with 7 kids is in need of some beds. The kids are sharing beds that are too small and no one is sleeping well. A couple twin beds or bunk beds would really help this family get better sleep and give the kids the dignity of having their own bed.

A single mother of three who works hard is in need of new beds for her teenage children. This mother has worked hard to get her own place that has more space for her three children to grow and have their own space. In this, they have outgrown their twin size beds. She would love to have her children be able to feel comfortable in their new home and new beds that they fit in would be perfect. I am requesting full size beds including mattresses, frames and comforters for her three children. Any help with this need would be so appreciated.

This single mom and her 3 kids have been living in a shelter but just transitioned out into their own apartment. Mom had been storing all their things in a storage unit but missed a couple payments and now is unable to access the unit. In order to have access to their belongings she needs to pay $250 by the 16th or could lose their unit and everything in it. This mom and daughter just recently moved out of the shelter and into their apartment. They have almost nothing in their apartment and are currently sleeping on the floor. I am working on securing beds but in the meantime an air mattress would be a life saver for this family! As well as some dishes (plates, cups, utensils) to get them started would be a huge help.

As a parent, you want to do whatever you can to make sure that your children are comfortable and cared for. This mom is no different. The family is living in a 2 bedroom apartment and mom has chosen to give the bedrooms to her son and daughters. That means that mom has been sleeping on a pullout couch. Recently, the bed part of this couch broke leaving mom with no where to sleep. Mom is looking for a new pullout couch that she can use as a couch during the day and a bed at night. This item does not need to be new, gently used will be just fine for this family.

This young family of 5 has had their water shut off. The family got behind on a few payments and now they are trying to quickly catch up to get it turned back on, they have been able to pay some and are left with $230 to pay to get their water back on. We all know how important it is to have water and this family of 3 young children is struggling without it. Please consider helping these parents get back on their feet!
