We have a young mother and infant child who are without housing. She has secured housing starting August 1, but need to secure housing in between. They have found a hotel for $120/night and will need assistance starting July 14. Any help to bridge the gap this month is appreciated.

We are reaching out to request your support for a single mother in our community who has recently escaped an abusive relationship. She is facing significant financial challenges while trying to provide for her baby and two year old. Although she receives WIC, it doesn't cover the specialized Similac Alimentum formula her baby requires due to dietary restrictions and being underweight. This mother is employed but has limited resources, making it difficult to afford this essential formula, which she typically purchases from Walmart or Target. Your generous donation of Similac Alimentum would greatly alleviate her burden and ensure her baby receives the necessary nutrition during this challenging time.

Our foster parents are planning a trip to Pigeon Forge and are bringing along their 8-year old foster child. This is a wonderful summer enrichment activity and a way to create memories that will last a lifetime. They were hoping for some assistance in purchasing this child a ticket to Dollywood. Dollywood has a program for free entry for children in Tennessee's custody

We're reaching out because a mother who recently escaped a difficult and toxic situation is in urgent need of $100 to secure phone services. The mother was fighting to get out of a DV relationship. The abuser would not allow the mother to work and controlled all her income. She is luckily out of the home and in a safe place now but has extremely limited funds. The mother needs a working phone to keep in communication with providers and her safety resources. Any support would mean a lot and truly help her during this challenging time. Dawson County is working with an 11-year old youth who just entered foster care. He has not experienced three placements in a short period of time, and came from a place of little to no supervision or oversight, with substantial neglect. This kiddo stole another youth's Air Jordans as he was leaving the previous placement. We have since intercepted the shoes to return them to their rightful owner, but the team believes it would be gesture of goodwill and show this child that all he needs to do is reach out and ask, rather than to take. He has not had nice things, and being in foster care is a stigmatizing experience. We would love to be able to give this kid a pair of Nikes of his own, but do not have the ability to do so. The shoes were Nike Air Jordan Comfort Low. I can share more specifics about the shoes if someone is able to help make this middle schooler's shoe dreams come true!

We currently are working with a family that has 3 and 5 year old girls. The family is currently dealing with a housing emergency, and is working on finding new housing for the parents and children. Due to their displacement, the family is saving as much money as they can in order to find new housing. In the meantime, the family has noticed that the 2 girls are beginning to grow out of their clothing, and do not have a lot of, "summer clothes," that fit them any longer. The family is struggling affording new clothes for the children while also attempting to save money for their new home. We are currently seeking anyone who can help with clothing resources while the family is in their transition period. The family has stated that both children are currently wearing size 5T.
