A parent is reunifying with her children who are currently in foster care on June 17th, 2025. She is in need of a small kitchen table for four people with chairs, as well as a washer.

We are seeking assistance for a family who's vehicle recently had major issues and they are unable to get around. Both of the parents are working diligently to better themselves and have been doing amazing in their substance abuse programs. The parents are struggling to get to all of their required services for themselves and the children due to not having assess to the vehicle. After an estimate it will be $500 for the vehicle to be fixed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! We need your help! Our family accepted a teen female as an emergency prudent parenting resource for a weekend. The child needed clothing as she did not come with anything in her size. Our foster family spent $220 to best take care of these needs so that she would be set up for success ongoing in the midst of her trauma. We are looking for someone to reimburse the foster family for this cost of care with gift cards. Thank you!

Dawson County is working with an 11-year old youth who just entered foster care. He has not experienced three placements in a short period of time, and came from a place of little to no supervision or oversight, with substantial neglect. This kiddo stole another youth's Air Jordans as he was leaving the previous placement. We have since intercepted the shoes to return them to their rightful owner, but the team believes it would be gesture of goodwill and show this child that all he needs to do is reach out and ask, rather than to take. He has not had nice things, and being in foster care is a stigmatizing experience. We would love to be able to give this kid a pair of Nikes of his own, but do not have the ability to do so. The shoes were Nike Air Jordan Comfort Low. I can share more specifics about the shoes if someone is able to help make this middle schooler's shoe dreams come true!

We're reaching out to our compassionate community to gather support for a mother currently residing in a local shelter. This mother is working hard to rebuild her life as she recovers from addiction. She has been sober for almost a year now and doing amazing. But, she has limited income. After paying her bills she has little money leftover. A top need for the mother at this time is a crib for her one year old to have a nice place to sleep. A crib is an essential item that she simply cannot afford. We believe every baby deserves a safe and comfortable place to sleep. Your generosity can make a world of difference in their lives.

Lumpkin County is working with a family who is struggling to maintain housing due to the amount of money they have had to spend on treatment for the mother. They have a small child and are desperately trying to keep the child in their home.

We have a momma who is very close to getting overnight visitation with her children, and hopefully reuniting with her children in the coming months. One of her boys has significant allergies, and this mother is asking for help obtaining 1-2 air purifiers in preparation for his return home. If anyone has a gently used one that they no longer need, this would go to a good home. Momma asking these questions shows that she is thinking ahead and planning, and asking herself the right questions. She works very hard, and has a full schedule of services. Gifting her one of these would be a blessing in that it is an expense she would not have to come out of pocket for. She is an employed and single mother.

We currently are working with a family that has 3 and 5 year old girls. The family is currently dealing with a housing emergency, and is working on finding new housing for the parents and children. Due to their displacement, the family is saving as much money as they can in order to find new housing. In the meantime, the family has noticed that the 2 girls are beginning to grow out of their clothing, and do not have a lot of, "summer clothes," that fit them any longer. The family is struggling affording new clothes for the children while also attempting to save money for their new home. We are currently seeking anyone who can help with clothing resources while the family is in their transition period. The family has stated that both children are currently wearing size 5T.

Dawson County mom's home is in need of 123 sq ft of flooring for a bathroom or laundry room. There are two children in foster care (11 and 13) and this request is an essential part of getting this mom's home approved to be able to have the kids come to the home and eventually reunify in the home.
