The child has been removed by DCF and is being cared for by a non-relative in out of home foster care. The relative just started back working and facing financial difficulties. The relative is in the process of applying for non-relative financial assistance. The child has been on several different diabetic medications, causing drastic weight loss. As a result of losing a lot of weight, her clothes no longer fit her. The child is in need of size 16/18 women sized shorts.

I’m reaching out on behalf of a disabled veteran who is working hard to get back on her feet after facing some incredibly tough times. She is seeking support to help establish a stable and comfortable environment. This veteran has endured so much and is taking every step possible to rebuild her life with dignity and independence. She has used all her funds to get into her own place and your generosity and kindness would make a profound impact in helping her build a home that reflects the stability and security she once served to protect. A bed would provide the comfort and rest that is so deeply deserved, and a dresser would help bring some normalcy and organization to her space.

The mother is a single parent with three children ages 2, 3, and 8. The children are currently sleeping on "make-shift" items and would really benefit from sleeping in the comfort of their own individual beds. The mother has expressed the importance of them having a bed to sleep in on multiple occasions. I looked at Walmart, and there was a FDW Black Metal Bed Frame Platform Twin Size 14 Inch Heavy Duty Steel for 45.00 each and the mattress was a Zinus 6" Bonnell Innerspring Mattress Firm Feel, Twin-XL 70.00 each.

Client is expectant mother who is currently struggling with financial needs and seeking grocery assistance. Has applied to multiple jobs but yet to hear back from any. Client has faced many obstacles along the way to getting to the point of choosing life for her baby. The desire is to continue to support this mom as she strives to maintain stable housing in preparations for baby. Client has a restraining order against the father of this baby, so she is not receiving any support from him or from local community/family. Cl lives alone, so this request would meet the need for her and her unborn child. Groceries she's seeking are: Canned Goods- Corn, green beans, spaghetti sauce, corn beef hash, cream of chicken, chicken broth Meat- Chicken breast, chicken Thighs , hamburger meat Pantry- spaghetti noodles, elbow noodles, mashed potatoes, great northern beans, white rice, yellow rice Veggies- onions, bell pepper, carrots, celery, cabbage, potatoes Fridge- orange juice, milk, eggs, block cheese Fruit- grapes, orange, green apples

The caregivers have taken in an infant and as a result one of the caregivers is not currently working due to the child coming to live with them. They are requesting assistance with size 3 diapers and wipes. The caregivers should be licensed in 60 days and will start to receive a monthly stipend to support this placement.

The mother was dealing with a very hostile relationship that has resulted in her being a single parent. She is really in need of a baby gate due to her having two small children in a home that has stairs and there is no one available to assist her with supervision. She is currently using a modified barrier to prevent the children from falling down the stairs, but the method that she is using is really unsafe.

I am requesting urgent clothing assistance for a 14-year-old young lady who has recently returned to Leon County and is preparing to begin school in the coming days. Due to a significant change in her weight, none of her current clothing fits her appropriately. As she transitions back into school environment, having suitable and comfortable clothing is essential for her confidence, sense of belonging and overall well-being. She is in need of school-appropriate attire that will allow her to feel comfortable and accepted among her peers. This support will greatly ease her transition and help start this new chapter with dignity and self-esteem every student deserves.
