We at GFL have a young lady in need of a pair of adult size 8 shoes. On most occasions, the young women that come into our home only have what can fit in one bag. As they arrive, there is now space and a room for them to breathe, decompress, and begin to rebuild. Having these shoes will not only allow her to feel comforted as she goes about her daily life but she will be encouraged knowing she isn't having to do life alone. She is currently a full-time student and will need to transport herself back and forth to school. A hardworking strong father, husband, and Marine Corps veteran found a job and a house after being homeless for 15 months. The family sleeps on the floor with their 2-year-old daughter and they have no household belongings and need everything for their home. Please help support this family and keep them together since they have struggled and come this far together

Meet a dedicated mother of four, who is navigating a challenging transition while caring for her children, including a 6th grader at Thomas Elementary. Currently, she is without transportation, making it difficult for her family to get to school and appointments, which has unfortunately affected her child's attendance. Despite her struggles, this mom is doing her best to provide for her family, but she needs a little extra support. She has requested a sofa for her families living room space, currently they do not have any furniture in their living room. More than anything, she would appreciate the warmth and encouragement of a caring community rallying around her during this tough time.

We have a 19 year old former foster youth, who is considered a Non Minor Dependent participating in our Transitional Housing Program. She is a parent of a two year old son. She Is Trying to complete her high school diploma. She is also in the process of updating her child's birth certificate, and so, she is not able to obtain child care through the county until this process is complete. While she works to complete the necessary paperwork, we are looking to help her with daycare services. As a full-time student, she would need all day services. Any assistance she can utilize will be extremely helpful and contribute to the long term success of this young mother and her son.

Aspiranet's Family Unification Program services youth who are at risk of homelessness or are currently homeless in Fresno County. We support youth as they work towards breaking the cycle of homelessness. We are currently seeking assistance in the form of newborn baby supplies for a young mother who recently gave birth to a baby boy. This young mother delivered her baby earlier than expected due to several complications during pregnancy. She is in need of blankets, receiving blankets, newborn clothes, and diapers.

This family of three, including a dedicated mother, husband, and daughter is navigating life-altering events that have deeply impacted them.

Eight months ago, this mother's husband was diagnosed with cancer and given just six months to live. Remarkably, he is still with us and continues to fight against this illness. Recently, however, the family's struggles intensified. Just three weeks ago, their daughter, a beloved student at Thomas Elementary, experienced severe pain in her side, which led to emergency surgery due to a grapefruit-sized cyst. While she is now in recovery, the family awaits news on whether the cyst is cancerous.

Amid these challenges, the mother has been required to move into a home and is in desperate need of support. She has no furniture, no kitchen appliances, and no washer/dryer. The financial burden of medical bills for both her husband and daughter, along with the new home deposit, has made it incredibly difficult for her. This family has been a valuable part of our Thomas community, always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Her daughter is an excellent student, and they truly are a good family who deserves the support of the community during this trying time.

Aspiranet's Transitional Housing Program services youth who are at risk of homelessness or are currently homeless in Fresno and Madera Counties. We support youth as they work towards breaking the cycle of homelessness. We are currently seeking a desk and desk chair for a young adult who will soon be starting his first semester at Fresno City College. Currently, this young adult has no desk or table in his home to be able to complete his course work.

Single parent was just relocated to an apartment with her 4 kids, ages - 11,8,8, and 2. They are in need of furniture, mattresses, and basic household items. Having these items would help improve the well being of the child and improve the relationship of the biological family.

The parents are seeking assistance to secure an alarm system for their home due to ongoing concerns for the safety of their nine-year-old autistic child, who frequently leaves the house without permission. There have been several troubling incidents where the child was found wandering around town unsupervised, which has raised significant concern about the child’s safety. To address this matter, the mother has expressed a need to install alarms on all of the doors (5) and the child’s bedroom window (1) to immediately alert the family when the child attempts to leave the home. Unfortunately, the family is currently facing financial hardship that prevents them from purchasing the necessary equipment. The mother explained she had resorted to a temporary solution of deliberately not oiling the doors, causing them to squeak whenever opened, in an effort to alert the family when the child tries to leave the house.

A grandmother of 6 is now in need of basic essentials in order to care for her grandchildren. The family is going through a divorce and kids are now staying with grandma. They currently are starting off with nothing. They are in need of 2 bunk beds, along with sheets, pillows, mattress protector, and comforter. They are also in need of a washing machine and clothes for the little ones. Thank you considering this request!
