A single mother of three little ones is currently staying at the Lotus House shelter. When she needs to run errands or go to job interviews her cousin steps in to help. Now due to health reasons her cousin is in need of a wheelchair to be able to continue to assist her cousin with her three little ones.

Minor siblings were safely reunified with their mother following immediate removal from the father. The father was the custodial parent, thus provider of the children but now the children are currently sheltered away from the father. The mother is currently unemployed, though actively seeking employment but needs assistance with new uniforms and shoes for the children as they are now registered at a new school. This request will help benefit the family by helping with school uniforms in order for the children to attend school. I am reaching out to request support for a Nicaraguan family currently facing a deeply challenging situation. The mother is struggling to maintain stable employment due to not having authorization to work, that limits her ability to work consistently. Despite her hardships, she remains the sole provider and emotional support system for her young daughter. Tragically, the daughter was recently attacked by a Pitbull, resulting in physical injuries and the need for surgery. This traumatic incident has also deeply impacted both mother and daughter emotionally. We are seeking assistance to help the mother meet her daughter’s basic needs such as clothing, shoes, and other essentials. The participant is the full-time caregiver of the child. The grandmother is now looking for employment and hopes to return to work soon. They recently received assistance from an agency for home rental cost. However, due to the high cost of rent she is unable to purchase the necessary uniforms that the child needs for school. They are also in need of cleaning supplies. The uniforms will help the child attend school and feel good about being part of the school like the other children. This family is experiencing a very difficult time. The children are age 1 and age 13. The children are in desperate need of clothing. The baby is one year old boy. They are lacking clothing and diapers to go to school or just simply what they need for daily wear. This is very hard for the children because they need daily activities to play and learn. The mom works but her job is not providing enough working hours for her to meet all the children's necessities. She is actively search for a better job to better help her children. Any support you are able to provide to this family will greatly assist them and ease one of their urgent concerns and needs.
