For years, substance use robbed him of stability, self-worth, and the ability to care for his environment—or himself. His home now stands as a haunting reflection of that past: neglected, unsanitary, and unsafe for a child to inhabit. It is not fit for recovery. It is not fit for family. While he fights daily to stay clean, to rebuild trust, and to become a parent his child can rely on, he is met at every turn with the weight of his surroundings—an overwhelming mess he cannot fix alone. Every pile of debris is a reminder of who he used to be, making it that much harder to believe he can be someone new. A clean, safe space would not just give him a fresh start.

This request is on behalf of a Hope Florida participant that is a single mother of five children. This family needs your assistance to obtain clothing and shoes for the children which they need to attend school. This hard-working mom has fallen on hard times and is trying to pick up the pieces. She recently became employed part-time at Home Depot but has not yet received her first paycheck. The children's grandfather helps when he can to watch the children. This mom is expecting a newborn girl on 8/4/25 and really needs help to have clothing for the newborn when she comes home. Your help providing the ability for mom to purchase clothing will really help ease her mind as she would like to provide to her children much needed items. Your help with clothing for the children will help them be able to attend school. A gift card from Walmart, TJMaxx or Ross. I am working with a stepfather who was laid off in February 2025 and is currently seeking employment. He is actively engaged with CareerSource Palm Beach County to receive support with job training, upskilling, and employment services. Since losing his job, he and his wife have been struggling to cover essential expenses, including bills and groceries.

They are particularly concerned about meeting the nutritional needs of their 9-year-old daughter, who has special dietary requirements. She relies on Pediasure as a key part of her diet, but unfortunately, their insurance does not cover it. Local food banks have been helpful, but they do not provide Pediasure or other necessary specialty items. As a result, their daughter has been experiencing weight loss, and her health is at risk.

Pediasure is costly—approximately $50 for a 24-bottle case, which lasts about one week. A month’s supply would be a significant help, giving the stepfather time to complete his training and return to the workforce.

Any support in providing Pediasure or assisting with this urgent nutritional need would greatly contribute to this family's stability and the wellbeing of their daughter.

The family is dependent on the grandmother. She recently had a surgery and is unable to work. While she was recovering from her surgery a roach infestation has spread. She has tried to keep the place clean by sealing food, deep cleaning, even store-bought sprays. The infestation is beyond what she can manage on her own. There is an asthmatic child and a baby who is learning to crawl. The family has concerned the baby will eat a roach while they are learning to crawl. The family wants to feel peace in their home and know the baby can crawl peacefully at home.

Three children are being cared for in a safety plan by their grandmother. Mother was baker acted, and father was arrested. This was an emergency, and grandmother needs assistance with basic items like food for the children.

The mother and her 16-year-old son who has behavior disability, are currently homeless following recent eviction. The family lacks stable housing, food security and support. The mother has exhausted local shelter options including Family Promise and has no family support in the area. Immediate assistance is required to ensure safety, stability and access to services. Any help is appreciated, food, gift cards, housing information, etc.

Granmother caring for children needs financial assistance to pay basketball classes for one of the kids as well as assistance with her utility bill and access to clothing for the children. Grandmother has to work extra to support her daughter who suffers with mental health issues and is struggling to parent solo.

Maintaining access to her vehicle is critical, as it allows her to transport her children to daycare and summer camp, attend job interviews, and continue her search for stable employment. Supporting her in retaining her vehicle would significantly increase her ability to regain self-sufficiency and provide stability for her family.
