Hello, I am a voluntary case manager that has been working with a family with housing issues. The 16 yo girl I am working with lives with her grandma right now. Grandma has been helping to preserve her granddaughter's school since the school is a huge source of support and connection for her. She has been living with grandma for about a year. She has some mental health concerns and also an issue with enuresis especially at night. Grandma and granddaughter informed me the bed she is sleeping on is hurting her back because it is so broken down including the bed frame. Grandma is on a limited income and parents do not have extra funds to help right now. Mom is working on suitable housing to maintain her daughter's school. Dad lives in Mpls and he reports his finances are tight and doesn't have extra funds either. This bed will be going with her when she moves back with her mom. She's waking up tired and hurting which is impacting her learning and mental health. She has been dealing with a lot of changes (a new baby sister), parent's going to court to fight for custody of her, and a lot of other disruptions.

My request: new full size bedframe, mattress, and mattress protector (encloses the entire mattress). This would be a huge help to this girl's mental health and education.

SPANISH SPEAKING FAMILY. Mother and children are Spanish speaking only. Family recently immigrated to the US, and mother is in need of a dresser and small sofa for the family. There are 2 children (ages baby girl 6 months and boy age 11). They would like a dresser that is taller vs wider to save on space within the home, also one that is sturdy for safety reasons. They are also in need of a love seat sofa. Thank you so much for supporting this family.

This provider is taking care of three of her grandchildren. She is a single woman who works full time and does not have a budget for many extra things. The children have accumulated some things since they have been with her, so she needs an additional dresser for them. She also is requesting two new beds, including frames and mattresses.

A mother and her 12-year-old daughter lost their housing in October 2024 and were homeless and living in a shelter until March 2025 when they got housed in a new 2-bedroom apartment in their community of choice. The mom worked incredibly hard to get new housing so they could be safe and stable again and get the daughter's emotional support cat back (which they will soon be getting!). They are so happy in their new apartment and they were able to get most of their previous items out of storage and bring them to the new apartment. One of the final items they need is a kitchen table and chairs (2 chairs). Right now they have a folding table and folding chairs substituting.

A two year old child is going to reside with her grandmother. A LIGHTWEIGHT (less than 10 lbs if possible) convertible 5 pt car seat is reqeusted to ensure the child is safey transported. A toddler bed with mattress and boy or neutral sheet/bedding set (new mattress and sheets due to child alergies) is reqeusted so the child has a safe place to sleep.

This student's family was evicted from their home and are now living with family (a 3-bedroom with 11 people). Mom and dad are struggling with addiction and spend very little money on necessities for their children. Their aunt has stepped up and is working hard to help them but they are still in great need of clothing and groceries.

Student is a 7-year old girl who would need size 7-8 clothing, but larger shirts are okay too. She loves pink and has been wearing the same pink sweatshirt for weeks.

They also need assistance with groceries due to having so many people in the home with no income or a fixed income. Any convenient store would work, or you could connect with the family to deliver specific items. Cub, Walmart, Target, etc.

Also - I do not know the other kids in the family but I assume they have needs as well.

Five siblings were placed in a kinship foster home. Three of the children need car seats, two boosters without backs and one five point, 2 - in - 1 car seat. The five point booster car seat is for a four year old child who has autism so needs to be a car seat that has the weight up to 60/65 lbs. These car seats will ensure the children are transported safely and they will also help the sibling group stay together in one home.
