We currently have a grandmother who is caring for a child with Lissencephaly which is a rare neurological disorder characterized by a smooth brain surface due to incomplete development of brain folds. The child (Male, 3) is unable to walk or talk. The grandmother has a difficult time bathing the child due to her having to keep him in a seated position. The grandmother has expressed that a shower chair would be helpful to help her adequately bathe the child. There is a link below to the shower chair that she has requested. A single mother of two with limited family supports. She has a history of domestic violence in her previous relationship and had to pack up and relocate to the new area with her children. The family was homeless for some time and finally secured a place in the city of Newburgh, area code 12550. Children are ages 3 and 10 months old. The family needs a living room sofa. Your support could truly make a meaningful difference in the daily life of this mother and her children.

The family has limited family supports and has urgent needs for beds. Since they moved to the home, the children have been sleeping on the mattresses placed on the floor. Your support could truly make a meaningful difference in the daily life of this mother and her children. Children are ages 9, 7 and 4.

Car seat needed for one year old child that is being reunited with bio family. Child has been in foster care and we are in the process of returning the child to the parent. A trial discharge has already started and we are looking to do a final discharge within the next few months.

We have a family in need of some furniture for her one year old son. This family recently had to endure a very stressful eviction in November and could not keep a lot of their things. They moved into a family members home in January and in March they were able to put together enough money to afford a new apartment. The mother has done everything she can to help her children stay afloat during this hard time. Her one year old son receives early intervention services and has been blossoming. He has been walking and climbing exceptionally well since starting services. With that being said, he has outgrown his crib. This boy would greatly benefit from a twin sized mattress, a twin size montessori bed frame, mattress protector, and bedding. They have also asked for assistance in obtaining a small dresser for him as that was one of the items they were not able to keep once they were evicted.

Grandmother who has physical custody of her two grandchildren and the children are in need of full size bed frames for each one of them and each child needs a 9 drawer storage dresser (one white and one black). The links are attached above. The children are in need of mattresses, mattress protector and a set of full size sheets. The family would greatly appreciate getting these to help provide bedding and storage for the children.

Three adults and three children live in an apartment that has an ongoing issue with bedbugs. The family states the bedbugs negatively impact everyone's ability to sleep comfortably and cause bites, which can negatively impact the children attending school. The family states the landlord is historically unwilling to address concerns. The family stated they have tried on their own to improve conditions to no avail. Additionally, interior areas of the home are in need of repair to prevent ongoing water leaks and mold, and possible re-infestation concerns. The home needs appropriate treatment to eradicate the infestation.
