Hello! I'm reaching out on behalf of a single mother I am currently working with. She has a 10-year-old son who has been diagnosed with Down syndrome.

The family is seeking support in obtaining a sensory swing, which would provide the child with a safe and calming space for sensory regulation during moments of overwhelm. This item would offer comfort and contribute positively to his emotional well-being. Additionally, the family is in need of adaptive clothing to accommodate some recent behavioral changes that have created challenges with traditional clothing.

This support would make a meaningful difference for this family, and they would be truly grateful for any assistance in securing these items.

Client is a single mother who has recently secured stable housing after experiencing a period of housing instability. She is a dedicated parent to five young children and is working hard to create a safe and nurturing home for her family. As she settles into her new space, she is in urgent need of basic furniture to make the home more livable and comfortable. Specifically, we are requesting two couches and three dressers to help meet her family’s immediate needs. Any support, whether through donations of gently used items or connections to resources, would be deeply appreciated. Providing this family with the essentials will go a long way in helping them feel safe, stable, and at home.

I have a teen mother with one child who is at risk of homelessness. She was working at a Family Child Care Center that temporary got closed down in April, so she started door dashing to make ends met until she is able to find gainful employment with Walmart in July, during that two month transtion she fall behind on her rent. Her rent is $930.00 per month with late fees the total has rose to $2800. She reached to me for resources. I referred her to 211 and Upward Transitions her case was sent to a data pool based on urgent needs. She has been in communication with the landlord and they are trying to work with her however she has been served eviction papers and went to court last week. The apartment complex/ landlord is giving her time to pay. Now that she has established fulltime employment at walmart she is able to subtain her monthly rent. Stable living is crucial for this single and teen mother for a variety of reasons. It’s not just about providing a roof over their head but about creating an environment where both the mother and child can thrive emotionally, physically, and socially. A foster parent is in need of assistance with paying her electric bill so that she can continue to care for her nieces and nephew who are in custody. She is in need of $200 to help pay her electric bill, as she has been paying for the needs of the children leaving less to cover other bills. If she receives this help, she will be able to continue caring for the kids and making sure they have a safe home with a relative while their parents work to reunify with them.

We have a young mother who has been working hard to be reunited with her young child. Currently the only thing standing in her way is past due payment on a utility bill of 228.33. This amount is needed for her to be able to move the utilities to her new place. Once this is taken care of the child and their mother will be able to share the same home. In providing the family with this need, you would be helping a bio family reunite. This young woman again has worked hard to meet her goals and get to this moment.

The mother recently left prison at the beginning of the year and went to a halfway house. The mother would like to make changes to her life to reunify with her child. She is in need of help to receive a psychological evaluation to help to reunify with her child. The cheapest one I have found is 1200 and she doesnt have Soonercare to help pay for it. Any amount to help pay for her evaluation would be helpful.

Mother and Father of a 6-month-old baby needs help with obtaining a baby playpen and baby playmat to place under the baby playpen. The family lives in an apartment with hardwood floors and their son has recently started crawling. His parents are so happy about this milestone but also concerned due to the fact that their floor is very hard. The baby playpen and baby playmat would help with their son's safety and wellbeing. Help reunify a bio family with a bus pass for transportation!

Please help a single mother in need of transportation assistance to reunify with her two children. This mother has been actively working services according to her service plan and needs assistance in getting to her family time visits with her baby. She does not have a driver's license or any other method of transportation. A bus pass would help her in getting to her services, attending court hearings, and attending family visits on-time.

Single mother has 4 guardianship children and 1 foster child. She is currently recovering from a recent surgery and cannot work. The air conditioning in her 2009 GMC Denali has gone out and she does not have the funds to get it fixed. The initial amount we found may be close to $1500 or more. We are asking for $200 to get the process started by diagnosing the issue.

This request is to help pay registration fees and to purchase uniforms and equipment for a child to be able to participate in summer football. The family consists of a single mom, who is disabled, and an 8yro Autistic boy. Mom has been off work on medical leave since March and has just now been able to return to work. Due to her being on leave, mom has only been able to pay for essential living needs and cannot afford the requested fees and equipment. As an Autistic child, this young man has some behavioral issues that sometimes comes along with this diagnosis. We have found that he really enjoys football and would like for him to be able to build on the skills that he learned while participating in football the previous summer. Football is also a great outlet for him to be able to release some of his built-up energy and aggression, allows him to be able to focus, provides an opportunity to work on his teambuilding and group participation skills, as well as allows him to work on social/emotional skills that can sometimes be hard for autistic children. I would like to say thank you in advance for any help that can be provided for this family. This will go a long way towards helping a child be able to do something that he loves and towards helping to relieve a burden from his mother's shoulder.

My client is a single mother to 3 teenagers ranging from 12-16 years old. She is needing assistance with laundry detergent and overall cleaning supplies. She is currently in between jobs due to her recent one laying everyone off after running out of federal funding. Anything will help and will surely be appreciated!
