The single mother of 3 children (ages 8, 10, and 17) currently resides in a hotel. The family does not have transportation, and the mother recently lost her job. The mother recently became a doula but only gets paid every 60 days. The mother is due to receive her paycheck at the end of the month. When the mother receives her paycheck, she plans to pay for their hotel stay through August 2025. The mother has utilized housing resources but is having difficulty obtaining housing due to her history of evictions. The agency will continue to work with mom and assist her in navigating these roadblocks.

The children’s fathers are not present, and the mother does not receive child support. The family has no support network within the city limits.

Paternal grandmother caring for her 3-year old grandson needs assistance with paying rent. Caregiver is currently going through a divorce, and although she is employed, she is needing assistance with paying rent, as a significant portion of her income has gone toward paying her attorney and divorce proceedings. Caregiver is currently in the process of having her home licensed so that she can adopt her grandson.

Client is a single mother to one child. This mom has worked for months to save and find an affordable home. Now that she has found appropriate housing and plans to move in July 12th, she is in need of some household items. She is looking for the following: a twin bed for her child, a dish set, kitchen utensils, and a cookware pan set. A teenage girl experiencing homelessness is in need of hair care services. She is currently without a stable placement and has an estranged relationship with her family. In addition to facing instability, she is managing mental health challenges that have been exacerbated by her current circumstances. Having her hair done would help restore a sense of dignity, boost her self-esteem, and support her emotional well-being during this difficult time.

The family has their granddaughter and does not need much. They are in need of a fire extinguisher and a medicine lock box and that is all they have asked for.

I am working with a single mother who has one daughter under the age of 5. The mother works full time and currently lives with family as she is trying to get back on her feet. She lives in an area where there is not public transportation and she does not have anyone to take her to work at the time of day she needs to clock in. This mother would greatly benefit from a Uber or Lyft gift card to utilize for transportation to work. At maximum it can cost approximately $30/day for her to get there and back to work. This mother works hard and is wise with her income, she just needs a little help in this way.

She is also open to meeting with someone who might be able to provide her rides to work to give her the space she needs to save up for transportation of her own.

Request for Bedding and Household Support A single mother of five children is working hard to provide for her family while facing significant financial challenges. She is trying to create a safe and stable home environment for her children as she prepares for their return to her care. The children include two older kids, ages 10 and 11, and three children under the age of five. The family is in urgent need of the following items to support a hazard-free and nurturing home: • Bunk beds or individual small beds for the older children • A toddler bed (for a 1.5-year-old & the three year old) • A crib (for an infant) • Basic home furnishings (any available support in this area would be deeply appreciated)

Currently, the children’s beds are broken and unusable, and the home lacks essential furniture. Providing these items would significantly improve the children’s quality of life, safety, and comfort.

Single Mother of 3 children is need of assistance with obtaining clothes for her children. Mother is currently unemployed and looking to obtain work. Mother has a 13-year-old daughter who wears a size medium in shirts, size 7/8 Large in pants and size 7/8 in women shoes. 3-year-old female toddler wears a size 4t in clothes and she is a size 9c in shoes. 6-month-old male is a size 6-9 months in clothes and wears a size 3/4 in diapers. If mother was able to get assistance with these items this will help take stress of her and help improve her children well-being being able to have new clothes to wear.
