Grandmother taking care of two grandchildren under 3 years old. The grandmother is wanting to prepare for permanency by ensuring that her home is safe and secure for the children. The family is in need of a medication lock box and fire extinguisher.

This is a request for a youth to get a new or used laptop computer or tablet. The youth has a need for this computer to help facilitate their journey into adulthood. They are trying to obtain employment and continue their final year in high school. This item will allow them the ability to fully engage with the necessary requirements of various online applications and virtual job search. They are going to use this tool to do schoolwork as well to maintain proper standing in their academic endeavors. By giving this individual a way to approach these barriers in their life you will be providing an important need in their current and future success.

Mother is expecting twins and has not been able to work so there is limited income in the home.

As the Faith-Based and Community Engagement Team prepares for the upcoming school year, we are reaching out to request your support in helping our children and youth start the year with the tools they need to succeed. We are collecting new school supplies for children served by the Rainbow Room. Items needed are backpacks, notebooks, paper, folders, pencils, pens, colors, glue, scissor etc. With your help, we can ensure that every child we serve starts the school year with confidence and the right supplies in hand.
We ask that all donated supplies be dropped off by July 31, 2025

We are currently working with a 15-year-old boy and his mother who, in the past few months, have experienced many changes within their living environment. This family was referred to us through the Office of Refugee Resettlement since the child was an unaccompanied minor that was recently reunified with his mom. The mom's previous partner was their main financial source, but they are no longer together due to his emotional abusive behavior toward her and her teenage son. The mom has shown resilience and perseverance throughout this process and is now working full-time. She is making just enough to rent out a room in an apartment, but is not yet making enough to rent the entire apartment on her own. The child and mother are currently sharing a queen-sized bed since the mom cannot currently afford to purchase an additional bed for her son. However, they have both expressed a desire for the teenage boy to have his own bed, especially as he continues to grow as a teenager. Your collaboration in serving this family would be so impactful, especially considering all the challenges and pain they have been through! Thank you in advance for your consideration and support!

Great Maternal Grandmother is currently taking care of her Great Grandson with sever special needs who is nonverbal and suffers from seizures. Great Maternal Grandmother is on a fixed income and has recently been having issues with her air conditioner unit outside in which is keeps going out. Great Maternal Grandmother is asking for assistance with purchasing a window unit due to the faulty air conditioner unit in her home which she cannot afford to replace.

Client was informed that she will need to have a surgery due to her high-risk pregnancy. She was not expecting it to be so soon; however, she will need to have it done June 16, 2025. Client does not have all the items she needs. The most important thing she needs is the car seat and has been unable to purchase it. She paid all her basic needs but was not able to purchase car seat since her funds are limited at the moment.

A 20-year-old young adult is at risk of being homeless due to past due rent. Youth lost her job and her car and has been unable to pay rent. Youth have a current balance of $500 to include rent and late fees. Past due amount must be paid by June 17th to avoid eviction. Youth is currently looking for employment along with having an Employment Coordinator as a support to assist with job search. Youth will continue to look for employment in her area in hopes of obtaining a job so that she's able to keep up with her rent.

Hello, I’m requesting food assistance on behalf of my paternal aunt, who has taken on the responsibility of caring for her brother’s two young children. Despite applying for food stamps, she was denied due to being slightly over the income limit. However, with the added financial burden, she is barely making ends meet. She is doing her best to provide for the children while also supporting her brother, who is experiencing a severe mental health crisis after the tragic loss of his wife. My aunt is doing everything she can, but she urgently needs help to continue supporting her family during this difficult time.

Youth has successfully age out of care. Youth has worked hard to obtain a car and is needing assistance with obtaining the registration of the car. Youth is an illegal immigrant of Honduras and doesn't want to risk being detained by driving his vehicle to and from work. The youth takes the bus to and from work in order to avoid getting trouble or deported. All help is greatly appreciated.

This is a single mother who is starting over and has attained stable housing for her and her son who is autistic. The family would be appreciative of getting furniture for their home as they have none.

This young adult is requesting assistance with furnishing her first apartment. After completing the housing voucher process, this young adult has been able to apply for stable housing and will be moving into her own apartment however she is in need of furniture assistance. Can you help this young adult's transition into independence?
