A grandmother aged foster mom has recently taken a kinship placement of a two year old, from out of state.

She is a single mother with eight children. She fell behind on bills due to her car having problems and needing to be fixed. She is behind on her utility bill, and it will be cut off if not paid. She is working to try meet the needs of the children just short this month.

Client owns a hair business but that has slowed down due to economic crisis. She is currently working on getting an occupational license, as well as finding employment. She also has 3 children oldest 16 and youngest 1. Client is behind on her utility bill that was due last month on 6/23/25 and owes $326.66 currently. She got granted an extension last month but the last day of that extension was 2 days ago and her power could shut off any moment.

Veteran age 70 and his wife have three children all with autism ages 7,8,9. CarePortal has assisted family previously. The home they recently purchased with assistance of a non profit program had plumbing issues, flooded and insurance fortunately covered gutting and removing mold. They are in hotel needing to move back in but insurance will no longer help as they are telling family to get legal assistance for the builder to take responsibility and they are not responding according to family. They are in hotel unable to afford any longer wanting to move back home. House now only on cement floor and needs walls repaired and flooring.
