A courageous and devoted mother of four is in urgent need of our support. On Thursday, April 24th, she bravely reached out for help to escape an abusive situation. With three young children at home and one in school, she has been unable to work and currently has no financial resources, support system, or safe place to go. We have been by her side, calling every available shelter, but sadly, each one is at full capacity. Thanks to the support of a generous community resource, she and her children have a safe place to stay in a hotel for two nights (Thursday & Friday). Another organization has kindly provided a third night (Saturday)— but come Sunday, they will once again have nowhere to go. While we continue working tirelessly to find space in a shelter, the hotel remains the only safe option for this family right now. We are asking for your help to provide just one more night of safety and stability for this mother and her children. The hotel she is currently staying at is $200 a night but moving to a cheaper hotel is an option. Her gratitude has been profound — she is overwhelmed by the kindness and compassion shown so far. Let’s continue to lift her up in this moment of need. Every little bit makes a difference. Thank you for helping us keep this family safe.

We have three children ages 15,12 and 10 who are in a safety plan with a relative. They left the hotel they were staying at and were not able to take with them hygiene products or school uniforms. The kinship home cannot financially meet the added cost of these items at this time. We are asking that they be gifted with the following hygiene items. Women's stick deodorant (2) men's deodorant (1), Shampoo and conditioner for African American hair types. body wash, tooth brush and tooth paste, Cantu curl cream, Xtreme hair gel, hair detangler, girls underwear size 14-16, women's hipster underwear size Large, Men's boxer brief size Medium, Men's size M light blue (3) and dark blue (2) uniform polo shirts, Women's ankle socks, girls ankle socks, men's crew socks, and girls shavers. Lovely Foster Mother has taken on an infant, and the formula needs have changed. The baby now requires a pretty expensive formula, and due to the baby's digestive issues, he is a burper and spits up quite a bit, so she is going through more that what is currently being afforded to her. She is a wonderful, caring single Foster Mom, kinship, who opened her home to the infant, and is doing an amazing job with the child. Any assistance with this need would be so appreciated. Hello! I have two children who recently was able to reunite with their biological mother after several years. They have been visiting with her regularly and recently the biological mother has been helping care for her 15 year old while we search for a temporary home. As you know teenagers eat a lot of food and this mother is asking for assistance with groceries. She is a single mother to 1 child and has been great in assisting DHS with care for her other two children while we navigate the issues in the case. It would be great if anyone can help assist this mama with groceries for all her hard work. Any amount that can be given would be helpful! Thank you!

Three young brothers (4, 6, and 9 years old) have found a wonderful adoptive placement where they have been thriving. Adoptive parents would like to help the boys thrive even more by enrolling them in the sports they have been dreaming of playing. The oldest brother will be playing tackle football and the fee for this is $495 (this includes equipment, uniform, football camp, and other fees tied into one cost). The younger brothers will be playing flag football and the fees for this are $150 each. Multiple resources can come together to meet this need, or resources can choose to pay only one enrollment fee. A 7-year-old recently entered custody and we are working with his biological father to reunify them. Both the child and father are eager to reunify, but lack of sufficient beds in dad's home is posing a significant barrier to reunification. Currently, there are 7 children living in dad's home and our child will make 8 once placed there. This is a big request, but we are in need of 4 sets of bunkbeds, 8 mattresses, and bedding for all beds. This request can be met by multiple sources and can even be met one item at a time if necessary. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for you consideration!

Please help us improve this child's well-being. We have a father who needs assistance covering the assessment fee at DVIS. We know that education is the key to change, and while it took a lot of coaxing this father to get into the Batterer's Program, he is now willing but does not have the money for the assessment. If we can bless him by covering the assessment fee we can ultimately help this child live in a healthy household. Please bless this family by cover the $100 assessment fee.

Hello! I am trying to place a sibling set of 4 in a home together, we are needing a crib or toddler bed, mattress, and bedding. The foster family had signed up to take 3 but said yes to the 4th so they could all be together. Any help is much appreciated!!

A foster parent is needing help paying for the cost of summer camp for two young children that she is currently fostering. The cost is $220 per child per month over the summer, but if it is paid in advance then it reduces to $400 a child for the entire summer camp. Even a partial payment would be helpful to the foster family.

A divorced mother of one child with 8 different disabilities is needing help with her rent. She makes too much to qualify for any assistance and she has recently had to reach out to find nursing help, that she has to pay for, because her child is unable to maintain in the facility he was in due to his outburst, none if which he has control of. He is non verbal, cannot walk and has a g-tube. Her elderly parents have been helping her as much as possible but she just found out her mother now has some health issues, so she has to help her father with that as she is their only child. Any help would be appreciated!
