Mission Abilene

The family moved from Chicago, IL last year and the mother has had a hard time obtaining stable employment. They are a very low income family on section-8 housing. Mother is wearing winter clothes even in warm weather because she does not have the income to purchase clothing for herself. She is moving apartments and needs a sofa or couch, a dining table and dining chairs, plates, dishes, and utensils, kitchen towels, anything that might help her settle into a new apartment. She is also looking for a church to go to and would appreciate any help in the community. She is a single mother with a seven year old daughter and a ten year old son both who had learning delays.

This Grandmother has three children placed with her including a child under age one. Her clothes dryer quit working, and this created difficulty for her as it is very difficult for her to take three children to the laundromat. She does not have funds for a repair man and her dryer is older and repairs would likely be a short-term solution.

This family has two very young children (1yo and 3 months). The father is the only parent that is currently working, as the mother stays home and cares for the children and her disabled mother-in-law. The family is needing an appropriate and safe crib for the baby and two dressers to organize their clothing and store items for them.

Single mother of 4 teenage children in need of assistance. They recently moved to Merkel, TX and mom is trying to make ends meet the best way that she can. The children are in need of beds. They have none at this time.
