Our clinic is assisting a young single mom to be who is one payment away from being caught up on car payments. She is working full time and has a plan in place with her maternity home to budget and save for arrival of baby once this car payment is made. Thank you!

Finding safe places for teenagers with sensory issues and autism is so difficult. It becomes even more difficult when the cost of these safe places rise. A mother and father are requesting support to renew their community center membership for the year for their 3 children, two sons (14 and 11) and a daughter (9). The community center has become one of the few places their son with autism can find safety, connection, and tools to manage his anxiety and anger, while keeping the family together. It is a resource they utilize nearly every day. They appreciate your consideration.

The family moved from Iowa to live with family member’s in a trailer home, they have limited space and trash has piled up and smell is lingering in the home, they needed to work on cleaning to keep child safe. The family is needing help with a dumpster and carpet cleaning. The family moved in with additional family and is a lower-income home. Using a church dumpster is also an option for this family. The carpet cleaning that is needed can be professional or a unit being rented from a local store. Thanks!

Mother with 2 boys, ages 13 and 7, recently left a domestic violence situation, receiving an order of protection. She signed a lease for a new home and found out that their duplex does not come with a refrigerator, washer or dryer. Neighbors were able to help with the refrigerator. The family is need of basic kitchen items, including pots and pans, dishes, utensils, and cups, as well as queen and king size sheets. The boys share a bed, but a separate twin or full sized bed for the 7-year-old would be wonderful.

The family's new home is on the same block as their previous residence. The mom could use help with moving furniture items to the new house, including a couch, love seat, bed frames, and TV stands. She does not have the means or money to move these items herself. They do not have any family in this area. The mom is working part-time and has been reluctant to ask for assistance; however, she finally asked for help because of her boys. She is very appreciative of any help and support. The family is supposed to have everything moved out of their previous residence by Sunday, June 8; however, the moving could be postponed until next week, as the landlord has been accommodating.

A mother whom currently resides in Clay county has lost custody of her children and they are currently in Children's Division care and custody. The mother was residing with the father in their home; however, one day he never returned from "work" and had taken their only working vehicle, most of the money in their accounts, the mother's methadone, and left the mother in the home with past due bills. The mother could greatly benefit from assistance with paying her past due bills so that she can at least have another month or so in her home until a better situation is located for her. The home is way past due on mortgage, I believe she stated 3 payments are past due and we are worried about the home being foreclosed on and mom becoming homeless because of this.

A mother whom currently resides in Clay county has lost custody of her children and they are currently in Children's Division care and custody. The mother could greatly benefit from assistance with transportation in order to get to the Children's Division office for visits, complete UA's, and get to KU for her medicine, as well as obtain employment.

This family includes mom, dad, twin sisters (10), and younger sister (8). The family has a great love for nature and animals; they can be found playing outside on any given day. Due to recent financial hardships, including an emergency surgery for dad and faulty transmission in the family vehicle, the family is unable to pay mortgage for this upcoming month and is at risk. Family is seeking assistance for this month in order to maintain stability. The family has therapeutic support services to help them navigate this time and we are hopeful you can help provide this gift to support them in the most important way- maintaining the safety of their home. Edit to add family has a plan in place for next month and going forward just need assistance in catching up the past due that is currently due.

Mom and three children are in hotel and are in need of food. CD was able to help them get a long term deal on motel, but need food in the mean time while mom starts her new job on Monday. The family has been provided a list of local food pantries, but has no transportation which makes their situation more difficult.

two children are currently placed in the home of their maternal grandmother. The children are both under the age of 2 and grandmother is struggling to care for the children by herself prior to getting daycare established. It would be beneficial to the grandmother to have the mother there as a support for her and to help care for the children and give the grandmother a little bit of a break. However, the mother does not have consistent transportation and has to rely on others to get around. She is working hard on becoming independent. It would be greatly beneficial to assist the mother in obtaining some Uber giftcards so she can spend as much time as possible with her children and also assist her mother in caring for the kids.

I have a mom requesting help with rent. Her husband was killed at the beginning of the month while on a getaway with their son (he witnessed the incident) and he was the primary financial provider. She is trying to get all the kinks worked out, but she is asking for any kind of help with her rent until she can find a new place or find other arrangements. She has said that she would be grateful for any amount or recommendations. Her rent a month was $1300.

Mother is currently needing help due to recent injury at work and getting paid less. She is concerned about her son stealing the marijuana she is using to assist her medically and that is causing major tension in the household. Mother has asked to see if we can help get her a medical lock box for her personal belongings.

Mother recently required surgery and also got removed from her work position/transferred into a new position more suitable for her. This new position, however doesn't pay as much so the mother is not making as much as before. She is needing temporary assistance to help get caught up on a few things, but is working and trying to maintain stable housing for her child. Mom would like assistance with rent (1200) at least with half (600), electric (160.29) and gas (278.65)
