A courageous and devoted mother of four is in urgent need of our support. On Thursday, April 24th, she bravely reached out for help to escape an abusive situation. With three young children at home and one in school, she has been unable to work and currently has no financial resources, support system, or safe place to go. We have been by her side, calling every available shelter, but sadly, each one is at full capacity. Thanks to the support of a generous community resource, she and her children have a safe place to stay in a hotel for two nights (Thursday & Friday). Another organization has kindly provided a third night (Saturday)— but come Sunday, they will once again have nowhere to go. While we continue working tirelessly to find space in a shelter, the hotel remains the only safe option for this family right now. We are asking for your help to provide just one more night of safety and stability for this mother and her children. The hotel she is currently staying at is $200 a night but moving to a cheaper hotel is an option. Her gratitude has been profound — she is overwhelmed by the kindness and compassion shown so far. Let’s continue to lift her up in this moment of need. Every little bit makes a difference. Thank you for helping us keep this family safe.

We have three children ages 15,12 and 10 who are in a safety plan with a relative. They left the hotel they were staying at and were not able to take with them hygiene products or school uniforms. The kinship home cannot financially meet the added cost of these items at this time. We are asking that they be gifted with the following hygiene items. Women's stick deodorant (2) men's deodorant (1), Shampoo and conditioner for African American hair types. body wash, tooth brush and tooth paste, Cantu curl cream, Xtreme hair gel, hair detangler, girls underwear size 14-16, women's hipster underwear size Large, Men's boxer brief size Medium, Men's size M light blue (3) and dark blue (2) uniform polo shirts, Women's ankle socks, girls ankle socks, men's crew socks, and girls shavers. A 16-year-old male teen who resides at a local group home has requested a 24" Huffy Highland Mountain bike (Target) (or comparative) to include: helmet, lock and chain. He will be able to increase his physical activity, improve his mental well-being, enhance his social skills, and have a sense of independence. This will add in help develop in life skills such as navigating, problem solving. He hopes to gain these skills to be able to commute to a job in the future.

Hello! I have two children who recently was able to reunite with their biological mother after several years. They have been visiting with her regularly and recently the biological mother has been helping care for her 15 year old while we search for a temporary home. As you know teenagers eat a lot of food and this mother is asking for assistance with groceries. She is a single mother to 1 child and has been great in assisting DHS with care for her other two children while we navigate the issues in the case. It would be great if anyone can help assist this mama with groceries for all her hard work. Any amount that can be given would be helpful! Thank you!

I have a 1 year old child who is in a kinship placement. This placement provider is in need of size 4 diapers and wipes for this child. This placement provider has had the child for 3-4 months and she has not received any financial support, which has caused financial stress in the household. Please help us improve this child's well-being. We have a father who needs assistance covering the assessment fee at DVIS. We know that education is the key to change, and while it took a lot of coaxing this father to get into the Batterer's Program, he is now willing but does not have the money for the assessment. If we can bless him by covering the assessment fee we can ultimately help this child live in a healthy household. Please bless this family by cover the $100 assessment fee.

We are reaching out to ask for help for a wonderful foster mom who has recently welcomed two young brothers into her home. One of the boys is in need of a potty chair, and we are hoping someone might be able to help supply this much-needed item.

This incredible mom already has three children of her own and is doing an amazing job balancing her home life while fostering. She is also actively bridging with the boys' biological mother, providing not only care but compassion and stability.

She is truly doing everything she can to create a safe, loving environment for all of the children in her home. Any assistance with providing a potty chair would be deeply appreciated — your generosity can make a big difference for this family.

Hello! I am trying to place a sibling set of 4 in a home together, we are needing a crib or toddler bed, mattress, and bedding. The foster family had signed up to take 3 but said yes to the 4th so they could all be together. Any help is much appreciated!!

A father is working hard to reunify with his two children. He has been able to obtain one car seat but is struggling to come up with the money for a second car seat. We would like to begin overnight visits this upcoming Saturday but will not be able to without a car seat for both children. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

A divorced mother of one child with 8 different disabilities is needing help with her rent. She makes too much to qualify for any assistance and she has recently had to reach out to find nursing help, that she has to pay for, because her child is unable to maintain in the facility he was in due to his outburst, none if which he has control of. He is non verbal, cannot walk and has a g-tube. Her elderly parents have been helping her as much as possible but she just found out her mother now has some health issues, so she has to help her father with that as she is their only child. Any help would be appreciated!
