A family member is taking in three young children ages 1,3, and 4. Car seats are not safe from the parents due to the condition and the family being homeless and living out of the car. Family member is needing car seats to be able to transport children to the doctors and other appointments that are needed.

Good afternoon I am requesting community support to get some work clothes for a older youth on my caseload. My youth in question is 18 and is in the custody of the MO Children's Division. My youth recently start a paid work training program in Kansas City, and she needs some work clothes including (jeans, t-shirts, maybe work boots, etc.) things that can get dirty as she is working in a Trade Shop doing woodwork and welding. If possible, my youth would like to try the clothes on first before getting them. My youth has stated she would like a $100 gift card to Walmart or another cheap location where she can get some of these items.

Bedbugs have infested the house of a single mother and young child. The mother is on disability and living off her tax refund at the moment. She hopes to go back to school and work once she can repair her car. Mother just finished up working with In-home Intensive Services and did a great job. Mother needs a full bed for herself, a box spring and frame for the child, along with bedding and bed protectors. A couch and dresser would also be helpful; however, the beds are the families first ask. The mother has a little more work to do to get back on her feet, and assistance with this inconvenient setback would go a long way helping the family become independent.

This request is for a single mom with three kids ages 7, 10, and 11. The family lives in a small apartment and the two daughters (ages 7 and 10) have to share a bedroom. The girls currently have two twin sized beds set side by side on the floor, leaving only walking space left in the room; no room to play. The lack of space is leading to internal conflict in the family. To maximize the space in the bedroom, we are hoping to provide this family with a bunk/loft bed. This will improve the quality of life for the family members by providing the two girls with more space of their own and reduce the conflict they experience.

The mother is a single parent working to get housing. She recently had to move out of her prior home and doesn’t have anything for her 2 girls. She is staying temporarily with a friend and needing some assistance with clothing for her girls and food items.

The oldest is in sizes 12/14 The young one is size 8/10 in boys clothes.

A biological mother is in need of an Uber card and a gift card to JoyWok. Her car has broken down and she has been having to Uber everywhere. Her child is going to be switching placements and they are wanting to do a Meet and Greet at JoyWok. Mom does not currently have the funds to Uber and go out to eat. Being able to have an Uber card and gift card to JoyWok will allow for the mother to attend the meeting and enjoy a meal with her child to ensure the placement is a good fit for everybody involved.

Child has been prescribed a specific kind of formula that is not covered by WIC at this time. The doctor is trying to resolve the problem but in the meantime, the foster parents needs help buying the formula for the child.

A 17 year old girl is in need of assistance with transportation to and from her workplace. She has been studying for her driver’s test and is working to save up enough money to purchase a vehicle. Please consider donating a gift card to assist this youth with her journey to independence.
