I have a single mother of 4 whose water was disconnected due to paperwork was not provided to update water services at the home. Recently water was turned off at the home. The mother contacted the landlord, who stated the mother will need to pay at least of the outstanding water bill. The total due is 801.90. The mother is asking for $400.00 to restore the services. As the water has been turned off for a couple of days which has caused a minor inconvenience. Once the water is restored in the home, it will allow this family to continue with moving towards reunification of the children. Worker does have all necessary information for the donor to pay the bill directly to KC Water Department.

Grandmother, who has taken over the care of her two teen grandchildren, has fallen on hard times and have lost their home. The family is currently staying at an extended stay hotel and was only able to pay for one week. Grandmother has not been able to locate an alternative housing arrangement at this time and is in need of another week in the extended stay hotel. Grandmother has been actively working on finding another living arrangement and just needs a little support at this time. Thank you for your consideration.

Hello care portal team, one of our case worker is working with Mrs. P, and her 9 month old baby. Mrs. P is currently in residential treatment and doing amazing in her recovery. She experienced domestic battery in the past and has been attending therapeutic services to aid her in her journey. Since she is trying and doing the best the she can, she is asking our community partners for help. Mrs. P, is wanting to start working again to provide for herself and her son. She has her CMA but it expires on August 30, 2025. She would like to take a Certified Medication Aide Update Course through Wecareonlineclasses.com to keep her CMA up to date. The course is $125. Child is aging out of care on the HCBS waiver. Child often chooses to spend her time sitting and watching TV or reading. Child needs enjoyable ways to continue movement, so child would benefit from an indoor exercise bike or adult sized tricycle to maintain a healthy lifestyle

These two boys are being reintegrated back into their home with their mom. She has been working really hard trying to get all of the things that are needed but is struggling with these two items.

This15 y.o. child participates on the football team at his high school, he also runs track to stay in shape for football as that is his main focus. Football and his team has been this child's strongest connection as he has moved from home to home since entering care over a year ago. This child also had a major surgery to fix his urinary tubes earlier this year, leading to an absence of football and exercise, that this kid thrives on. Recognizing this, his placement mother signed him up for a summer strong program for his high school. Her son and several of their teammates are also participating, allowing to get ready for football season and connect with peers. Please help provide this opportunity.

This youth is 15 and wants to earn more independence, as well as have an item that can help her with coping with life stressors and her previous trauma. She wants to be able to download games and also be able to listen to her music. This is the first step to her earning a phone with the home she is at. She has been successfully out of a residential facility for going on 5 months, which is a major accomplishment from her past. We found the "onn 7" Tablet, 32GB, (2024 Model)" that has enough of the features she is wanting, but can also have parental controls. It is $59.00 at Walmart. Any similar tablets with the same features will also work. A safety case for it would be nice as well, but not as important at this time. 

This family has been living in a broken apartment for a while now, and finally got approved for a new apartment. However, they are requiring a month and a half rent for the first month, which Mom did not budget for. Once this initial rent has been paid (due June 1st) Mom reports they can easily make rent every month, just the extra half a month was too much for their already tight budget. Mom is pregnant, and they would like to move into the new place as soon as possible, as the old apartment is not suitable to live in currently. Once rent has been paid, the family can start moving into their new, non broken home.

The parent for a prior request communicated the incorrect amount for her deposit on apartment. She thought it was $210 but it is actually $300. She is needing to have additional $90 in order to get moved into her new place. TY to the group who offered to pick this up once I resubmitted it TY She is starting over with her kiddos in a new safe place and her first time being on her own. She is grateful for any help that she can get.

The affected family is a five-member family that shares ICWA tribes and includes three young children, a mother, and a father. They were placed in foster care because of the condition of the house, which included new flooring due to pipe issues being clogged up and damaging the floors.. Any aid from people, organizations, or churches in offering free flooring services or helping to cover the cost would be greatly appreciated, as parents are unable to pay for the estimate quotes.

A newly licensed family has taken long-term placement of a youth who recently turned 18. He has been in foster care for most of his life, but has not been able to find stable placement. As he is getting very close to aging out, he desperately wants to gain the skills needed to succeed in adulthood. One of those skills is learning to drive. He has never driven a car but wants to learn. His placement would love to enroll him in a certified course so he can check that skill off his list! They have been able to help him get enrolled in other programs to support his goals, but the driver's course is beyond their means at this time. Please consider supporting this youth in gaining independent living skills.
