1 year old baby sustained significant injuries, and family was not able to explain how she was hurt. Child has special health care needs and is not able to eat solid foods. Child's diet consists solely of Pediasure and baby foods as these are the only things she can eat. Child has been removed from the care of her parents, and we are currently working on finding a foster home that can meet her needs. We are requesting help to purchase the Pediasures and baby foods for the the baby as 6 pack of Pediasures cost around $15, and baby drinks almost 1 pack a day. We are currently requesting assistance with purchasing $100 worth of Pediasures and baby foods for her to eat while in our care.

I am working with a family of 6 that consist of 2 parents and 4 children. The children range from ages 2-9 years old. They are in need of a small ac window unit for the children's bedroom. Currently, the children are sharing a room with their parents as this is the only room that has an ac window unit.

Hello, we are currently requesting assistance with two car seats, one for a 2-year-old female and 1 year old boy. The family consists of two parents and five children, one of the parents just recently started working but they do not have the means at this time to purchase the car seats necessary for the children. The family just recently relocated to this area, so they are trying to settle down. Any assistance the family can get with the car seats will be greatly appreciated.

Mother of 5 children recently moved to a new home and she is struggling to furnish her new home. The mother is asking for assistance with beds for her children. The children's ages are 4-Male, 5-Male, 7-Male, 14-Male, & 10-Female. The family is in need of 1 toddler bed, 3 twin size beds and one full-size bed. Also, the family needs bedding, pillows and blankets. Assisting the family will ensure that the children have a comfortable and safe place to sleep so they no longer have to sleep on the floor. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Single mother is going through a lot with her son. Mother does not work at this time and does not have transportation to go apply for food stamps. Mother would like assistance with money to buy food for her and her son. Mother and son walk to the gas station near their home to buy snacks and food from the gas station kitchen. Mother and son like the food from their nearby store.

Grandmother was present with her grandson regarding allegations of abuse. Grandmother states child has been placed with her from out of state and is not receiving assistance from child’s parent. Grandmother reported she is not working and is needing assistance in purchasing some clothing for child for school, as she was only able to purchase him a limited amount. Any assistance will help in making sure grandmother can assist child with his physical needs and wellbeing.

The Family consist of 3 children and 2 household members. Mother is a stay home mom and father is a labor worker who does jobs depending on what they need him for. Even though mother is a stay home mom, she does her efforts in helping father financially by joining him in his labor work and selling food plates and pastries. The parents do not have enough funds to fully provide their children with appliances but are doing side jobs to provide. They were sleeping on inflatable beds and now have used mattresses with no bed frames in all rooms. The parents are working for a dining table at this time. The two children, 1 year and 3 year old grew out of there car seats and will need to upgrade.

Parents are making efforts to provide, but by providing them with bed frames and car seats, we can support the family and make sure that the children are safe wherever they go and have proper safe sleep. We can also ensure that the family is practicing car safety.

The parents are eager and looking forward to a fresh start and are reaching out to counseling to better themselves and empower their family. I believe that if we provide them with these items, we can show them that we care and can encourage them to keep moving forward in becoming better parents.

Single mother of 4 young children was a victim of domestic violence and had to leave her home in Aransas Pass to come down to Hidalgo County. Mother and her children had been staying at a shelter since they came down in February. Mother was able to get a job and a home for herself and the children this month; however, she has very few items in the home due to having to leave everything behind in Aransas Pass during the move. Mother is currently in need of mostly everything; however, she was able to purchase 3 twin size mattresses. Mother has been co-sleeping with her 4 children on these 3 mattresses on the floor which is not safe for her 8-month-old baby. Mother is in need of a pack-and-play which will allow the baby to sleep alone, allowing the baby to be safe from getting accidentally rolled onto by mom or one of the other children. Mother is also in need of bed frames for the 3 mattresses so that the children don't have to sleep on the floor.

Family consists of 5yo, 4yo, 3yo, and 11-month-old, and mother. Mom is a single mother and is struggling financially. 11-month-old does not have an appropriate sleeping arrangement. The family would benefit from a playpen for the child to sleep in safely.

Family does not have any financial resources to purchase a playpen, attempts have been made to borrow from family members. Attempts have been unsuccessful.
