Paternal aunt took in her 13 year old nephew when her mother, his caregiver passed. Since the child has been in her home, it has been a struggle to put clothes on him, with his growth spirt. Placement is asking for help with purchasing him some new clothes that fit. He is a waist 32, length 32 in pants and shorts. Shirts he is a size xs in mens or in younger mens size he is a XL.

A relative placement is in need of summer clothing for 3 children. The girl is age 12, boys are 8 and 10 years old. The girl wears size medium/large 14/16 clothes, and shoe size 9. The boys both wear size 9/10 clothes and shoe size 4. The family is low income and relies on the relative stipend to pay for bills and pay for all other expenses. The children are in need of summer clothes since they have outgrown their previous summer clothing.

This is a single mother of two teenage girls. She is a very hard worker and has relocated to Madison county for better employment opportunities and personal safety issues. She has a new job and apartment, but needs some household items. They are in need of dressers, hangers, a pasta strainer, microwave, and living room furniture. Mother is extremely worried about pests and will need to be assured that the items are pest free.

A special needs three yr old baby girl who has been through a lot since birth needs a twin box spring for her special needs bed called a safe sleeper as soon as possible. She was diagnosed with a rare genetic syndrome that affects physical, cognitive, and behavioral development. This syndrome is characterized by mild to severe learning disabilities, distinctive facial features, sleep disturbances, and behavioral problems. She was approved for the safe sleeper after several months of being denied and she was finally approved and received the new safety bed, however it did not come with a box spring and placement really need the box spring to set up the bed. She is a very energetic 3yr old who hardly sleeps longer than a few hours at time and is always on the go. She is not able to sleep in a crib or toddler bed as she heads bangs, hits, and bites and she can be very aggressive at times. A safe sleeper allows placement to keep her safe from injuring herself and stay in bed. It will also allow the placement to sleep knowing that she is in bed and not getting into things that can hurt her. The placement has had a hard time with keeping her safe especially at night. The couple has had to rotate every few hours to stay up at night to ensure her safety and they are overwhelm, stressed out and tired of not getting sleep at night to ensure her safety and the safe sleep will be a great way to ensure her safety and keep her in her bed and out of danger.

Mom takes works and does amazon flex to make ends meet. Due to lack of childcare, the children in her home drive around with her in the minivan while she works. Her van has a DVD player, and she is requesting DVD's so the children can be entertained while she works and makes deliveries.

Child has recently returned home, and mother is in of a bed for the child. This return was unexpected, and mother did not have to the time nor the resources to secure the child a bed before the reunification.

A family of four is in need of diapers (sizes 6 and 7), wipes, a pack-n-play, and a front facing car seat (for a 2-year-old). The family is currently experiencing financial hardship due to the father's incarceration. These items would help ease the load on the mother who does not have family supports in the city and is struggling to provide financially on her own.

A four-month-old infant was removed from his parent's full-time care and placed with relative. The relative has just moved homes and provided items for the child but has many expenses currently. The relative has expressed need for a crib, mattress, and fitted sheet for the infant. The relative also shared that the infant is outgrowing their current clothing and is in need of new clothes. Infant is currently size 0-3, but now nearly needing sizes 3-6 months.

This young man is in need of a dresser and a bed frame that does not require a box spring. The young man needs this for his new placement in his room. This will help him become more comfortable and have his own space. The young man has been moved three times. Thank you!

There is a kinship family that is currently struggling with bedbugs. The Department was able to get two treatments approved and paid for; however, the treatment provider reports the family needs approximately two more treatments in order to completely get rid of the bedbugs. The kinship family would like to adopt the two children. This is the second placement the children have been in, and they have already been separated from some of their siblings due to them having different fathers. The family members that are serving as kinship placement have been the most stable, loving, and consistent family these children have ever had. The approximate cost of two more treatments is $650.00.

A five-year-old male child has been placed in relative care as a result of an unsafe living situation. Placement is in need of new bedding for a twin bed they are currently using for him. Placement is in need of new twin size sheets, comforter, zipper mattress cover/protector, and additional pillow if possible (placement specified zipper for concerns of cleanliness, personal challenges, and bed bugs). Placement also expressed need for a new and age-appropriate booster, citing that the one they currently had saved is no longer safe and functional (cracked). Placement cited preference for high-back booster seat with five-point harness.

A three-month old infant was removed from his main caregivers and is in need of a crib, mattress, and fitted sheets. The infant has grown significantly while receiving much needed care and will outgrow his current clothing soon. He will need 6-9 month clothing. The infant's placement family has expressed challenges in financially covering these needs.
