Family stepped up to take in a child in foster care so that he can remain in his school district and Graduate. The youth will be turning 18 on 5/2/25 and is a graduating senior. This family initially agreed to take the child into their home under the impression that the bio-mother would help support financially in the form of additional groceries and day-to-day essential items. When the child was placed in the home the bio mother disappeared and has not engaged in any contact with the Department or the Fictive Kin placement. Child was placed in this home on 4/15/25 and will need to stay until he is able to leave care on his 18th birthday (5/2/25). We are asking for grocery cards, or various gifts cards to assist the family through the end of May.

We are in need of SIX chest of drawers for the bedrooms in our youth shelter. These would provide our youth with much-needed space to store their underwear, socks, and personal clothing, helping to create a more organized and homelike environment during their stay with us.

I am currently working with a single mother on my caseload who is in urgent need of rental assistance. She is pregnant with a due date in June, and has recently been laid off from her job. Although she has secured rent for the month of May, she will not be able to cover June’s rent due to her upcoming delivery and loss of income.

This mother is raising two children, a 16-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son, and is doing her best to prepare for the arrival of her newborn while managing the household on her own. With no current income and a baby expected in early June, she is facing significant financial strain.

Rental assistance for the month of June would greatly relieve some of the pressure she is experiencing and allow her to focus on her recovery and caring for her children during this critical time. Your support would make a meaningful difference in the stability and well-being of this family.

We have a mom that is actively participating in the Mothers Advocacy Project. She is currently in Phase Two of our three-phase trauma intervention program. Mom is working hard to be the best version of herself for her teenage child. Mom is doing her best to provide for her family but recently evicted from her apartment due to a recent job loss. She has been able to secure a new job but has not yet received her first paycheck. We would like to provide mom and her children with a week stay at a motel so she can have safe shelter for her and her children while she works to find permanent housing for the family.

I am writing on behalf of my client, she is a mother of a newborn she experienced complex trauma that has shaped her journey. Despite these obstacles, she is determined to become self-sufficient and provide a better future for her child.

With the support of a dedicated navigator, my client has successfully obtained her state ID, enabling her to apply for work and benefits. However, transportation remains a major barrier in accessing essential services and care for her baby. My client has has scheduled a crucial doctor's appointment for her baby this Friday and plans to visit the WIC office to apply for nutritional benefits. Unfortunately, without reliable transportation, attending these appointments is a significant challenge.

I am submitting a request on behalf of a young family on my caseload. The parents are teenagers and first-time caregivers to their three-month-old baby. They are currently facing financial difficulties and have been unable to purchase essential baby items, including a stroller.

Although they have a car seat, they do not have a compatible stroller. The mother has expressed a strong desire to take her baby on walks for both her and the baby's well-being, but carrying the car seat alone has been too heavy and impractical for outdoor outings. This has limited her ability to get fresh air and engage in healthy routines with her child.

Positive Impact International operates six emergency youth shelters here in Gwinnett County, serving homeless and at-risk youth ages 12 to 21 — including parenting youth, foster youth, and those with special needs.

Right now, all of our shelters are at full capacity, and we are seeing a growing number of youth coming to us facing food insecurity. Many arrive hungry and in survival mode, and one of the most immediate ways we can show them love and care is by providing warm, healthy meals.

We are humbly asking for your help. We're hoping to collect $250 Kroger gift cards (one per home- 6 total) to help stock our kitchens with fresh groceries — fruits, vegetables, proteins, and healthy snacks that support the physical and emotional healing of our youth.

Kinship family took in two children and in need of 1 set of regular bunk beds to fit in a smaller space.

Child is bound to wheelchair and non-verbal and needs visitation with her father and grandmother who live in Norcross. Child is located in Covington. We're trying to see if anyone has a medical transport or a van that can accommodate wheelchair transport to and from this visit. The visit will most likely be 2-4 hours. No specific time, but those details can be ironed out if transportation can be provided.
