Our Bio Family has been trying to reunite since 2023. The hard work has accomplished the beginning of trial reunification, and they need assistance with a bunk bed and some bedding. A set of bunk beds, twin over twin, to share and possibly some bedding for a woman and girl would be appreciated as well. This family has really worked hard in achieving this goal and it has been a team effort for this reunification to progress as well as it has. The family will be starting trial reunification in a temporary living situation with a relative so that they can continue to save money for their own residence. Assistance with any items in this request would be greatly appreciated!

This family has a kiddo who is severely in need of his own space- he has been sleeping on the couch and the family has tried, but has not been able to get him that space due to financial difficulties. They have struggled with getting him a bed for a while now, as bed bugs have taken over the previous two. This child would love nothing more than a new bed he can sleep in by himself at home, plus it would do amazing things for his mental health!

This request is to help brand new kinship foster parents who have graciously decided to open their home to three children, age range 1-4. The foster parents would greatly benefit with initial assistance that can help get them set up to foster and maintain placement. The following items are needed:

I am working with a grandmother who has taken her four grandchildren into placement. She was recently granted guardianship of those children, in addition to another infant, who is also in guardianship with her. She is currently in a 3 bedroom apartment. She has the opportunity to move to a four bedroom home. It will create more space for herself and the children. She is in need of half of the deposit. She has the other half. The deposit is $1900 so we are asking for assistance with $950. Thank you for any help.

The child will need a crib to sleep in for a new placement in her kinship home

We are reaching out on behalf of a loving great-grandmother who has stepped up in a time of need to care for her young grandson. She was the only family member both willing and able to provide him with a safe and stable home. Recently, her roommate moved out, leaving her with the full responsibility of the household expenses. As a result, she is now in urgent need of $400 to cover rent this month. We’re asking our community to come together and support this family during this critical time. Any contribution, big or small, would make a meaningful difference in helping them stay in their home. This child has no other available placement options, and this is the only placement the child has requested. The child would greatly benefit from staying in this placement due to being kinship.

A foster family is in need of a large capacity washing machine. There are 9 children in the home and 2 foster parents. Their washing machine stopped working and due to the size of the family they have a high volume of laundry. The washing machine does not have to be brand new, but they would like for it to be large capacity if possible because of the amount of laundry the family has to do. This would greatly help this wonderful family who provide such a loving home for their foster children!

Bio mom in need of lockbox for her medications. Mom has several prescriptions that are sometimes within reach of the children. Mom is currently engaging in recommended FCS services, and following recommendations of the case. Mom is unable to work so she cannot afford the lockbox herself. Any help would be much appreciated! I am writing to request assistance with essential household items needed to support the recent placement of five grandchildren into the care of their grandparents.

The grandparents have graciously assumed custody of all five children and are working diligently to ensure a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment. Two of the girls, who have historically shared a bed, are now required to have separate sleeping arrangements due to placement guidelines. However, the size of their bedroom presents space limitations. To address this, a bunk bed is needed to provide both children with individual sleeping spaces while maximizing the available room.

In addition, a secure medical lock box is needed to safely store the grandparents' medications in accordance with child safety and placement requirements.

A mother and father of a 7-month-old girl are utilizing most of their income to pay for a hotel weekly. They could use assistance with the cost of gas so they can make it to visits with their daughter and to work.

Please help a family providing a safe and loving environment for a kiddo in need. This family has generously opened their hearts and their home but due to the unexpected expense of another person at the family dinner table, they could really use assistance with a food donation. Any donation of perishable or nonperishable food items would be most appreciated. Thank you for supporting our most vulnerable children and the families who open their doors.

A foster home in Delaware County is needing assistance with an air conditioning repair. It Is probably needing to be replaced altogether. The foster parent has had technicians look at it. She’s getting different answers. The unit is over 30 years old . The foster parent could have the unit repaired for around $700. Repairing or replacing would be wonderful. This is a foster parent who helps out with respite and emergency placements when our kiddos are in transition to a longer term placements. She is a bridge we are so fortunate to have. She rarely says no when asked to take in a child. It could be a day or a few days, She opens her home, no hesitation. With the summer upon us, temperatures are rising and temperatures are rising in her home. Taking in children is becoming more difficult as she is using portable air units and can only cool so many rooms. This limits her to how many children she will take in because she refuses to have the children sleep in a hot room. We really want to connect her with the right resources to fix her air conditioning unit, because she is not having any luck at this moment. We always appreciate the time to consider this request.
