Grandparents have Power of Attorney for their three grandchildren. Grandparents need clothing and shoes for the children. Grandparents have had to decrease their work hours to ensure childcare is covered. Grandparents and Mother have agreed to a Power of Attorney as an alternative to DHS opening a case and grandparents have supported the children fully for over 2 years. Mother does not provide any support.

The family also is in need of two toddler beds and bed frames as well as one booster seat.

Sizes for the children's clothes: Size 8 in boys, size 7/8 in girls, and size 4T in girls.

Children's shoes: Size 13 in boys shoes, size 13 in girls shoes, and size 8 girls shoes.

Hello, I have a case with four children who are placed in North Dakota on an ICPC. These children need their birth certificates and social security cards. The children were all born in North Dakota and the cost of a birth certificate is $15 each. The oldest child is 17 and hoping to join the National Guard but needs his paperwork to be able to do so. We are holding our annual Kinship/Foster Parent Appreciation Celebration in June 2025! Kinship families are unique in that they take placement of children on an emergency basis who they have a prior relationship with in order to prevent children from being placed in the foster-care system.These families selflessly get licensed knowing the need in our community. They have to complete a rigorous process to open their home and cooperate with several agencies and the court system as well as be an advocate for the foster child in their home. If the community didn't have foster parents, more children would be in DHS offices without placement. Showing our appreciation will ensure we can maintain these vital resources in child welfare and hopefully encourage others to help in ways they are able and advocate for children with DHS involvement. The Kinship/Foster Care Unit is hoping to be able to provide gift cards through a raffle to each family at the event in the amount of $50 for grocery stores, Walmart or Target, or other locations in town where items for the family can be purchased. Another option is to provide specific items to raffle off to the families such as fun activities for the children or gift baskets, be creative!

Foster families are such a need in this community and they open their homes to children with no where else to go. These families selflessly get licensed knowing the need in our community. . Elementary school student suffered an accident in school, the student has a collapsed lung and is currently hospitalized, mom is a single parent; currently she is attending her daughters medical needs, due to this she has lost her job and is in need of rental assistance for this month, which is 1800 a month. Hoping that her daughter's health improves she will return to work and be able to provide for her family again. If total amount is not collected, anything that can be collected would be of great help for this family.

DHS is involved with this family due to DV between Mom and BF. Dad has stepped up to help his daughters (12,15) and meets with them on different occasions throughout the week. Dad is disabled and doing the best he can. We are asking for help with food, a Walmart giftcard would be great.
