Our request stems from the real-life challenges we witness when beginning our journey with a young adult. Often, they face urgent needs upon first being matched with a Mentoring Family, basic necessities that can’t wait. While navigating life, additional hardships may arise.

Having gift cards readily available allows us to respond quickly to these moments of crisis. They can ease the burden on Mentoring Families, meet immediate essentials, and serve as a lifeline for young adults in distress. Sometimes, a simple act of support can make the difference in helping a young person recover from a difficult situation and continue moving forward on their path to independence and thriving.

We have 9 y/o that wants to participate and play football but in order to do so this child needs the following football equipment that consist of: shoulder pads (large), 7 pad griddle (large), football practice pants (large any color), red football practice jersey (large), mouth guard, white helmet. Items can be dropped off, shipped to the home, or pick up - all of these options can be arranged through the case manage. Thank you

We have a female youth who has graduated from Southwest Magnet High School. The youth will be attending Savannah State University Fall 2025. The foster youth is currently in need of items for her dormitory. The youth is currently in need of purple dormitory decor. The husband continues to be detained at Stewart Detention Center, despite the family's efforts to secure legal representation. The mother, who is doing her best to care for the family, recently had to spend $400 on an eye exam and glasses, which placed additional strain on their already limited finances. The glasses are essential to her youngest child as she receives special education services. At this time, the family is seeking support to cover a Georgia Power bill totaling $211. Any help toward this need would provide great relief and stability for the household during this difficult period. Your continued generosity and care for this family is deeply appreciated.

We are requesting assistance again for the family of five who have recently faced significant medical and financial challenges. Both parents were unable to work for several months due to serious health issues, including hospitalization and a delay in receiving necessary treatment. As a result of their illnesses and loss of income, the family fell behind on rent for June and July. The parents are now on the path to recovery and working to regain stability, but they need support to catch up and avoid further hardship. Now, with the right medical support, he’s finally on the path to success. But, in order to continue progressing he will need glasses as his vision is not clear.
