Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing great. I wanted to reach out and ask for a little help for a family with three wonderful kids. The parents are really working hard to get by, but they could use some support right now. The kids could use some clothes, especially in season items, and some basic self-care products like deodorant, body wash, lotion, and curly hair products. I'm working on getting their clothing sizes so I can help find the right fit. Thanks so much for opening your hearts and helping out!

Mother just had a baby and was unable to pay her electric bill. She is unable to return to her home without electricity with a newborn baby. She is requesting assistance paying her electric bill.

I am working with a sweet family composed of a mother and her four children ages 17, 15, 13, and 11. This mom is the sole caretaker of these growing children and has been doing her best to provide for them. Mom has recently secured a full time job after months of unemployment. She is trying her best to catch up with all her expenses while taking care of teenagers, but she is facing barriers.

Most pressing, with a language barrier, this mother has recently been scammed by a gas company and is required to pay a large bill of $676 for her gas in the home. This bill is almost 7x what her bill usually is. If she does not pay it by 4/24/25, her gas will be cut off. This is stressful as the mother is unable to pay this.

Additionally, her sons are growing very fast and mom is having difficulty keeping up with clothing them. I would love to be able to provide these boys with some clothes and shoes that fit them. The boys sizes are: 17 year old: Large pants (or size32), Large shirts, and size 9.5 shoes 15 year old: xxL shirts, xxl pants (size 38), and size 10.5 shoe 13 year old: Large pants, large shirts, size 8.5 shoes

Vietnamese speaking couple delivered twin boys prematurely! Parents do not have a safe sleep arrangement for the babies and are in need of two separate safe sleep arrangements for their babies. The babies are in the ICN at this time and will be for the next two weeks. Parents are requesting safe sleep support to ensure that their preemie babies are safe when they head home! (Social worker request because of language barriers items be dropped at the hospital where they have translation help.)

LDSS is working with a single mother of four children, who has recently secured her own housing. Previously the family was living in a two-bedroom home with a relative and all the children shared one bed. LDSS is requesting a bed and mattress for the children to help support the mother in her new home.

I am working with a sweet family composed of a single mom, her grandparents, and her three children ages 10, 3, and 9 months. Recently, this family has had their food stamps stolen three times. This is both frustrating and disheartening for the family as food is essential. Although they are utilizing food banks/pantries while they get their food stamp cards sorted out, I would love to provide them with groceries delivered to their home. A young adult single mother of one has just moved into Section 8 housing and is behind on her electric bill. She has been working with intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals as a Direct Support Professional for the last four years. Although she loves her part time job, she cannot afford to provide for her family with the limited hours that she work and she is looking for a secondary job to straighten out her families' financial needs. This young woman has been encouraged by the provision that other members of her family have received through CarePortal, and is hopeful that the same community care can be afforded to herself in this time of need as well. single mom who is has a 7-year-old son is struggling financially. She just started a new job but needs help towards getting her car inspected. She needs 4 tires and an alignment to pass inspection so she can get to work and take her son to school as main priorities. Any funds towards this need she would be so grateful for. Parents have recently delivered a baby prematurely and are working to compile resources for her discharge home. Baby is in need of a car seat (that goes down to 4 lbs) and preemie clothes, which the family has been having a hard time finding! This family is really looking forward to taking their baby home in a couple of weeks!
