Caseworker is working with a family who is currently going through a separation. They were evicted from their apartment and Dad is currently renting a room through a coworker and is having a difficult time getting on his feet. He is requesting a gift card to help with gas in getting to work each day or with food to help with groceries for himself as he is spending his current extra money on being able to take his children places when he sees them. Dad is gainfully employed but is between paychecks at the moment and has been struggling financially, especially with the sudden move. Giftcards to grocery stores, gas stations, or Visa gift cards would be appreciated in helping him get a little support under his feet while he navigates this new normal.

A 17 year old girl has been living with neighbors for the past school year due to safety concerns in her home of origin. She does have a job and has been paying for many of her own expenses, but senior year/leaving for college are expensive experiences. The family she is staying with have helped with graduation expenses but are unable to meet dorm room expenses. She is asking for a white twin sheet set, twin foam mattress topper, mini personal & portable fridge (white or gray), 3 tier utility rolling cart (white), lysol wipes, laundry detergent, basic girl toiletries such as tampons, toothpaste, razor, and a light pink towel set.

A young woman is attending school online and does not have a comfortable, quiet space to do her school work. Her room has a 3'X4' area where a basic, small desk and chair would fit. This would enable her to have a dedicated private area to attend her online classes and do her homework. Something simple from Amazon would be perfect. Thank you in advance!

This is a single mother with various health concerns. Due to all the health issues she is unable to work. The child is a 12 year old girl who has a hard time fitting in and is constantly picked on at school. They are asking for a hot topic/ spencers gift card to purchase clothes and shoes for the child.

Hello! I have a single mother that is in need of getting help for some car repairs so that she and her daughter can get back to South Dakota by the end of next week. The child was previously being cared for by extended family, however due to serious allegations, she is unable to go back to them and her mother is needing to relocate with her out of state. The family has been through a lot of trauma and the father is no longer living. Her car is in need of a new muffler, oil change, and possibly new brakes. There is a coding camp that would be a perfect fit to help them build confidence, build on their skills and potentially open up new educational pathways. The current barrier is the funding for this camp and so I am looking for any support to make this experience possible.

Hello! I have a 16-year-old boy that is in need of a bike to get to school. His dad was laid off but should be starting a new job soon and may not be able to get him to school every day. The teen has struggled with his mental health, the motivation to go to school, and with his attendance. The teen enjoys working out and would like the ability to ride a bike to school if his dad is unable to take him. Thank you!

A 17 year old youth is residing in kinship care. She is graduating from high school in May. She needs assistance with buying announcements for her graduation. She would be able to take a target/Walmart gift card to compensate for the cost of the announcements or take help with ordering the announcements.

I have a 17 year old youth that is struggling with past trauma, complications of a blended family and with school issues. He has been struggling with substance use and is currently completing a substance use program and involved with Pretrial. He has extremely limited options socially and has spent most of the last three months in online school and substance use treatment. He has expressed that one of the things he really enjoys is rock climbing but his parents do not have the capacity to support this. I am requesting a three month summer pass to Ubergrippen in Castle Rock so that he can participate in a pro-social activity that is supervised and where he can meet positive peers.

This family has been working with the Department for a little over a year now. Recent exciting changes have happened, including moving towards adoption! With this exciting news the family was getting all medical, dental, and vision appointments taken care of. It was discovered that the 6year old is needing extensive dental work including 7 fillings, 1 crown, and 4 extractions. child will need to be put under anesthesia for this procedure. Medicaid has covered most costs other than the final $150. The family has stretched their savings as much as they can but are hoping to have some assistance for the dentist appointment. I am working with two children, one is a 14 y/o male and the other is a 3 y/o female. The 14 y/o is a survivor of a kidnapping and has been placed into foster care with his sister. He had been living with his abductor for over seven years and when this was found out, their home was raided by law enforcement. It is not known what items have and have not been recovered. His number one request was to get his bike back. Because it is unknown whether this will be possible, I am requesting support in getting a new bike so that he has one. He is taller, so it would likely be better to provide a Dick's Sporting Good's giftcard so he can go try it out and ensure it fits him well.
