A Single mom and her two children have been approved to move into a transitional housing unit after years of unstable housing. This will be the first "safe" living environment this family unit has experienced and Mom is beyond excited. This family has no extra income to purchase needed supplies for their home. Request is for a Walmart gift card so the family can purchase mattress protectors and bedding sets.

This kinship provider is in need of some financial assistance with groceries. There are multiple kiddos in the home and the provider could use some support. Any help is appreciated!!

I am working with a mother who lost custody of her child. She is working on getting him back, but she is struggling financially. She does not have much food in her home despite going to food banks. She is making it by on minimal groceries for herself, but she does not have enough food to supply to her son. She is working full time and is doing the best that she can. I am hoping to get her some support through a King Soopers gift card so she can purchase some groceries for her son. He is 3 years old and is very picky on what is being received by the food bank.

Hello! I have a family that is struggling to make ends meet since they financially helped their extended family flee an unsafe and dangerous situation in Afghanistan to come to the US to live with them. The dad is driving for Door Dash to help supplement some income, but they are still struggling, as they are helping to feed an additional 2 children and 2 adults on top of their own 3 children. This family would really appreciate the help with a King Soopers card to be able to buy groceries. Thank you!

This family recently moved to Castle Rock for better job opportunities. Since moving, they are struggling with money and are asking for help with groceries. The family does not have a ton of support or family around and feel lost on what to do.

Hello! I have a single mother that is in need of getting help for some car repairs so that she and her daughter can get back to South Dakota by the end of next week. The child was previously being cared for by extended family, however due to serious allegations, she is unable to go back to them and her mother is needing to relocate with her out of state. The family has been through a lot of trauma and the father is no longer living. Her car is in need of a new muffler, oil change, and possibly new brakes. This mother would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you!

A 17 year old youth is residing in kinship care. She is graduating from high school in May. She needs assistance with buying announcements for her graduation. She would be able to take a target/Walmart gift card to compensate for the cost of the announcements or take help with ordering the announcements.

I have a 17 year old youth that is struggling with past trauma, complications of a blended family and with school issues. He has been struggling with substance use and is currently completing a substance use program and involved with Pretrial. He has extremely limited options socially and has spent most of the last three months in online school and substance use treatment. He has expressed that one of the things he really enjoys is rock climbing but his parents do not have the capacity to support this. I am requesting a three month summer pass to Ubergrippen in Castle Rock so that he can participate in a pro-social activity that is supervised and where he can meet positive peers.

I'm working with a mom who has recently gotten out of a 6 month rehab program and is working to get back on her feet. She has three kids who are placed with family. Mom was accepted into a program to help with housing and she recently moved into an apartment. Prior to entering rehab, she lost most of her belongings and her house was sold. She is starting over and trying to slowly put her home together so it is suitable for her, and eventually the kids. Some of her major needs are bedding (sheets, fitted sheets, pillow cases), bath towels, and dishes (she mentioned drinking glasses would be helpful). Anything would be appreciated so she can focus on getting back into a routine, save money, and work towards reunification with her kids.

Family has been struggling with recent death of child. Family has started to engage in mental health services, but stable employment due to mental health was a challenge for the past 1.5 years and family was having financial difficulties.

Both parents now have stable employment and anticipate that financial struggles will decrease over the next several months. CW is requesting gas cards for family to help ease their financial load at this time.
