The family has been diligently searching for permanent housing over the past 8 months. Fortunately, they were able to secure a two-bedroom home for their family. However, while staying in temporary housing, their belongings in a storage unit were damaged by water, including their beds. This family consists of a mother, her boyfriend, and her three sons. her middle son is currently in foster care and as a teenage boy is quickly out growing his clothes. His mother and her boyfriend work sporadically and are struggling to pay the household expenses. This 13-year-old boy has grown out of his summer clothes from last year. This child has a limited wardrobe, and the family is not able to afford to buy clothes that fit and are appropriate for the season change. The child is in need of t shirts, shorts, shoes, as well as socks. This child enjoys picking out his clothes and shopping. He likes TJ MAXX or Marshalls. A gift card would be helpful. The family of 9 recently experienced a severe bed bug infestation. The mother and her sister, who reside together, reported that they were forced to dispose of all mattresses in an effort to eliminate the infestation. At this time, the family is uncertain how the bed bugs were introduced into the home. The mother is living with a disability and is currently unable to work, which has created financial challenges in purchasing a new mattress. Currently, the children are sleeping on air mattresses. The family is requesting assistance in obtaining six (6) twin-size mattresses to replace those that were discarded. The bed frames are made of metal and have been thoroughly cleaned and treated multiple times to ensure the infestation has been resolved. Thank You

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
I'm currently working with a single mom and her three-year-old son who just got a new apartment and are moving out of a shelter. The mom had her belongings held in storage, but the storage unit leaked causing them to lose everything. The child's father is incarcerated and unable to help provide. I believe this mother and her son would greatly benefit from community aid in hopes to replace some of what was lost. The mother is requesting clothes for her son sized 4T as well as a twin- and full-size mattress. The mother would also like a kitchen table and chairs. Please note - the delivery address is Troy, NY 12180

Help Reunify a Bio Family
This client is a single father who recently lost custody of his 6-year-old son due to ongoing drug use. The father has been the child's primary caregiver since birth, as his biological mother passed away of an overdose approximately 2 years ago. The six-year-old is currently with his older brother (19 years old), while his father engages in the needed treatments. The father is reportedly two weeks sober and working to get custody of his son back. Father is court ordered to engage in several programs but is unable to do so due to having no cell phone. The father is unable to schedule necessary appointments in efforts to regain custody of his son. The father is requesting assistance obtaining a pre-paid cell phone with minutes. Father is currently employed but puts all his money towards preventing the foreclosure of the family home. Within the last 2 years, the family has lost the father's mother, the father's father, the child's mother and the family dog. While navigating the emotional burden of these loses, the family has also been impacted financially. Below is a link to a potential phone and minutes.

Tolliver Zip: 12427 Need: Four (4) window bars Narrative: This request comes from our CPS unit. The CPS Unit received a report of a child having climbed out of his crib in the middle of the night which was positioned near a window. The child proceeded to push through the screen and fell out of the first story window. The child had to be brought to the local hospital and luckily did not sustain any permanent injuries. Mom is a single mother raising two children ages 12 and 2 years old. Mom relies on her single income to provide for the family and is unable to afford window bars. The child is being discharged from the hospital today so the Agency is looking to support mom in this request ASAP. Attached below is an example of what the family is looking for. The family home has windows that sit lower to the ground which is easily accessible to the child. The family has four windows that the child could gain access to. The mother is very appreciative of any help to avoid this event from occurring again.
