Foster mom has 4 children in her home and needs assistance with her utility bill. In May, everyone in the home was sick and she had to miss 2 weeks of work. Foster mom is the only adult in the home and there is no other income coming into the home. Finances are already tight, so this has caused stress on the family. If she is able to receive assistance for her utility bill, it would reduce her stress level and ensure the family's ability to afford to pay for other bills, food, etc.

This single mother has experienced unspeakable pain after losing a young teenager at the begining of this year. She is now facing the grief of caring for a sick parent. Due to the amount of work missed this year due to these tragic incidents, she has recently lost her job and is searching for new employment. We are working to be proactive so that she does not miss the deadline to pay her June rent and faces eviction. This single mom has endured the unthinkable and is working to maintain stability for the 2 children in her home while also dealing with the emotional rollercoaster this year has brought.

We have a foster mom who just took in a teen girl. This teen came with almost nothing to the home and while we were able to provide a mattress, this teen girl still needs a bed frame and some bedding of her very own. She really enjoys her placement and has been dreaming of having her own bed and bedding. She has picked a bed frame out on Amazon that comes with drawers for her clothes and bedding that she will be so proud of. We have an older sister fostering her youngest sister while raising three children of her own. She is a single mom and works everyday without a support system to help her. A few months ago, she was sick with Covid and had to take off work with no pay. She has been trying to catch up and it is hard for her to ask for help, especially with no family in Oklahoma. She really needs assistance with her bills as the girls are about to be out of school and she will have to pay for some childcare and extra groceries. I have a client that is in need of assistance in obtaining the money for a deposit to sober living. Client is a single mother with a new born baby. My client has been fully participating in services, has maintained full time employment and has been able to maintain housing on her own. My client wishes to move into sober living to strengthen her sobriety and keep her child safe. My client's hours have recently been decreased at her place of employment so it has been hard for her to properly care for her little family and afford the deposit to enter into the sober living facility where she has been accepted. This client has worked really hard to keep her child out of foster care and make the changes she needs to ensure her new born is safe. Any help would be greatly appreciated by this client.

Please help this family in need as they prepare for their children to return home. Parents have gotten behind on their electric bill costing $290.08. Both parents are employed at this time and working to ensure all of their bills are paid so they can maintain their housing. They are currently having unsupervised visits with their three young children and preparing to increase family time to overnights within the next month. Any help that can be provided is appreciated to help reunify this family.

I have some clients that need a little bit help. They have suffered a major tragedy with the premature birth and passing of their baby. They recently had to pick up their baby's ashes and the day they did that they missed their scheduled UA. Due to the missed UA they have to pay a reinstatement fee. Any help that can be provided will be greatly appreciated to these grieving parents.

Safe Families is supporting a single mom with 5yo daughter. Mom recently moved to OKC to a transitional living program. Her daughter is able to stay with her on weekends. Mom struggled to find employment upon arrival and is now behind on rent and is facing losing her spot. She has been able to find more consistent income and they program has worked out a payment plan for her. However she needs $500 now to be able to stay. (She is paying $150 of her own to reach the total of $650 total) Helping with this need will provide mom stability so she can continue to work and move towards her daughter being back home full time with her. We appreciate any assistance.

We have a natural mother who is in need of transportation assistance to see her child as she does not have the funds to buy a car yet. This mom has worked very hard to travel back and forth from her residence to where her daughter resides and see her weekly. She has been working hard to get on her feet again and is needing help. We are specifically asking for an Embark 30 day unlimited bus pass. If this need is provided for, natural mother will be able to continue in fostering her relationship with her child through family times together during the week.

A father is in need of a 30-day bus pass to help him navigate the city and attend things like court hearings, services, and visits with his son. This dad has no regular transportation of his own and little social support so has to use the bus which is costly as he is not currently employed, though wants to work. Providing a bus pass for him will help him attend required events to help give him the best chance of reunifying with his son.

There is a young mother who has been ordered by the court to complete a psychological evaluation. By helping to fund this request, you will help the mother to be able to work her Service Plan and make progress toward reunifying with her sweet 3-month-old baby.

My client, a brave mother of five, had to urgently relocate her family of seven under the protections of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) to escape an unsafe situation. While she was able to get her children to safety, the rushed nature of the move meant she couldn’t safely go back and get her sons beds in time for her three youngest boys, ages 6, 5, and 2. The boys now sleep without the comfort and security of a bed that every child deserves. After everything they’ve endured, these little ones simply need a soft place to rest their heads. We are asking for any assistance in helping this brave mother provide beds for her sons—a small comfort that would mean so much to a family starting over.
