Help Preserve an Adoptive Placement
A 15-year-old make child has made the accomplishment of being promoted to the 9th grade. We all remember how important it is to begin high school! This particular child spent a number of years in foster care and was placed with family members to maintain a familiar bond a while ago. The child no longer qualifies for the foster care clothing voucher. The caregiver is not currently licensed and will need assistance obtaining school clothes for the child. This request will help alleviate some of those preparing for a new environment jitters. This will also be a motivator for one of our teenagers to start off the upcoming school year with confidence and pride. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Clothing size is as follows: shirts, large, 32 in pants, and 13 in shoe size. This child likes the color black and is asking for black t-shirts and jeans. He would like a pair of Nikes, if possible, for sneakers.

Help Remove an Educational Barrier for a Child
A dedicated mother is seeking a laptop computer for her teenage son, who has developmental disabilities and thrives with structure and ongoing learning. As summer break begins, she is determined to keep him actively engaged with educational resources and online learning programs tailored to his needs.
However, the only computer in the home is the one she uses for remote work. Sharing it has become increasingly difficult, interrupting her ability to earn income and limiting her son’s access to the tools he needs to continue learning and progressing.
Providing this family with a separate laptop would mean more than just convenience, it would protect a source of income for the mother while giving her son consistent access to educational materials that help him stay focused, grow his skills, and maintain a routine through the summer.
With your support, this young man can continue learning and developing, and his mother can keep providing for their family without sacrificing his progress.

Help Preserve an Adoptive Placement
The 8 year old boy in need has grown out of his toddler bed. He is non verbal, autistic, epileptic, and has cerebral palsy. He is in need of a bigger bed low to the ground or with rails to prevent him from falling out in the event of a seizure. A platform twin bed and mattress would be ideal. He loves Moana but any type of bed set would be fine.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
This family became known to Neighbor to Family through the DCF hotline (Parent in Need of Assistance). The mother is currently pregnant and its high risk. The mother isn’t working currently due to her pregnancy. She has 1 teenaged son and 2 pre-adolescent children and is expecting a baby within the next 2 months. The fathers of the children are not involved, and she is struggling financially. She needs help with a crib for the new baby boy's arrival, as well as onesies. She also needs all clothing (complete wardrobe) and toys for her 5-year-old daughter. She wears size 5T or 6T. Her 11-year-old son needs shirts, socks and underwear and wears size 13 or 14 or size medium. Having these necessary items would take some of the mental and emotional stress off of mom and support her mental health and children's well-being overall.
