I have a mom who just started her trial home visit and daycare won’t start till later in the month. Because daycare won’t start Monday, this mom is having to miss work and her job has really been understanding but she can’t miss 11 days of work. She is needing help with self pay until state pay kicks in.

The company that mom works for has moved to St. Louis causing her to lose her job of 23 years. She is currently cleaning office buildings to get by, but she is not making enough to cover all of her bills. She needs help with rent. They have rented the same house for 12 years, so luckily her rent is relatively low. She has applied for LIHEAP and has reached out to other community partners but none have the funding to help. She is working with the Jackson County Prevention Team to ensure success moving forward. Mom and kids escaped a relationship of domestic violence; mom is doing everything she can to provide for and keep her two children safe. Assistance in paying this rent would be life changing for this family.

Aunt who is caring for her own children and three of her sisters' needs help with a shut of notice she received from Evergy. She has put her life on hold to care for her nieces and nephews while her sister works on her sobriety. This has included overnight hospital stays, daycare, etc. at her own expense

The amount requested will prevent a shut off.

We are requesting funds to have voucher's for families that need to do a UA for us on allegations for hotlines. This is for families who might not have employment or be on disability and cannot afford the fee. Fastest Labs gives us a large discount to work with families. We are requesting 20 vouchers. I have broken the requests up in half so it might be easier to meet the need.

This family has a kiddo who is severely in need of his own space- he has been sleeping on the couch and the family has tried, but has not been able to get him that space due to financial difficulties. They have struggled with getting him a bed for a while now, as bed bugs have taken over the previous two. This child would love nothing more than a new bed he can sleep in by himself at home, plus it would do amazing things for his mental health!

A 12-year-old child is placed in a Department of Mental Health home to meet her needs as she has several diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder. This child has a history of causing damage to furniture items when she is escalated, in the past six months the child has broken two TVs in the living room. The DMH company has replaced the TV once already and we would like to try to alleviate the financial burden, while also finding a solution to this issue with a case. Please consider donating a television case to allow the children in the home to enjoy their favorite cartoons and prevent future damage with a protective case. Jackson County Children's Division is seeking assistance in supplying a family who is in need of Uber gift cards to help them get around town & to attend their visitation with their 4-month-old son. It seems to be that having a vehicle and stable housing are the only barriers this family is facing that might be preventing them from reunifying within the time frame they would like to reunify in. Otherwise, they are doing absolutely everything & more to be able to ensure they are prepared for their little one to come home. This couple is doing exceedingly well on their progress towards sobriety and reunification with their son! The couple is 120 days sober from ALL substances and are actively participating in all services at this time! The couple is SO determined to reunify with their son, that they took it upon themselves to join other additional support groups on top of what they're required to participate in. They have even provided me as a caseworker with other resources within the local community that I hadn't known about, to then research and give out to other clients to help them! That is one of the many reasons as to why I enjoy working with this family so much. I am very proud of this couple and am hopeful that Care Portal will be able to find something to assist this couple in finding transportation vouchers. Mother of a medically complex child is struggling to afford her rent at this time; her daughter was inpatient at the hospital for 5 weeks due to severe illness. Mother was unable to work consistently as she was needed at bedside for her daughter. Mother is working full time trying to afford their rental payment but has fallen behind on payments. Mother's bills are adding up as she tries to support her children. Any amount would help this family during this hardship!

This family is needing assistance with rent/deposit for a new home due to the family needing more space for a child they are taking as kinship placement after a life altering accident. The child needs more space for the medical equipment along with the ability for them to work with nursing, physical, and occupational therapist in the home. Assisting with the rent/deposit will allow the family to move and settle in to their new home, and allow the child to discharge from the hospital after being admitted for over 6 months. Any assistance is appreciated.

The family is struggling, and an older sibling stepped in to take the younger siblings into their home. Adding three additional people into the home has created a financial burden on the older sibling, and they could benefit from a gas card and groceries.

Food bank/pantries in the area will be provided to the family as well, but in the meantime, they could use immediate assistance as the older sibling works.

A single mother of two has recently exited a domestic violence situation, but the former partner continues to pose challenges for her and her children. Currently, she lacks both a cell phone and employment, which severely limits her ability to contact emergency services in the event of a crisis. Although she has applied for various jobs and assistance programs, the absence of a phone prevents potential employers and service providers from reaching her.

To ensure her family's safety and maintain vital communication with support resources, she urgently requires assistance in covering her phone bill. This would help her secure a means to call for help in emergencies and stay connected with necessary services.

This family who lost their home in a house fire is in need of some new beds for their new home. Mom is who battling some medical problems is trying so hard at getting their home back together. She could use some help from her community in getting these items so that they have some new beds and a place to sleep in their new home. She has battled through multiple health problems and the house burning down and continues to fight everyday. She could use the help of her community to build her back up.
