I am supporting a young woman who is 7 months pregnant and in-between housing. As she begins to prepare for the arrival of her son, she is in need of a crib, mattress, bedding, and a stroller to help her out after he is born. Any other kinds of baby supplies like diapers and clothing for the baby would also be incredibly helpful. This soon-to-be mother was attending a 4-year college with aspirations to become an immigration attorney, but decided to take a break this semester due to her pregnancy. She is currently looking for FT or PT work to help supplement her household income. This support with these baby supplies will offer her family some breathing room while looking for new work and a new residence. We are coming alongside a young couple who are about to welcome their first baby. She is 17 years old and just graduated high school, and he is 16 and currently finishing his senior year at a high school in Santa Ana. Becoming new parents at such a young age comes with many challenges especially when it’s difficult to find steady employment at their age.

As they prepare for the arrival of their newborn, one of the most helpful ways we can support them is by helping with baby essentials. They are in need of clothing for their newborn, and a Target gift card would allow them to get diapers, wipes, and other important items. Groceries would also be a huge blessing as they begin adjusting to life as a young family.

This is a time of transition, full of unknowns, but also full of love and hope. We want to make sure they feel supported and seen as they take this big step into parenthood. We are so grateful for any support that helps lighten the load for them.

Hi we have young mom that is 19 years old, recently graduated from high school, and is preparing to start her first year at community college. She has worked incredibly hard to get to this point all while raising her child as a single mother.

Right now, she is staying with a friend while she waits to move into her new apartment on the 15th. This transition represents a major step toward stability and independence for her and her baby.

As she gets ready to move in, one essential item still needed is a refrigerator. This is a critical need to ensure she can store food safely for herself and her child. It’s a key piece in helping her establish a healthy and stable home as she begins this next chapter.

The caregiver/maternal aunt recently obtained legal guardianship of the children after the tragic loss of their mother, following a murder-suicide committed by the younger child's father. The caregiver has expressed that the children are in need of clothing and shoes, as well as bunkbed in order for the children to have their own space in her home. These items will not bring their mother back, but it will assist with the healing process and ensuring the children are comfortable in their new normal.

Mother needs a table with four chairs a sofa that seats two. Mother has been going through financial struggles after loosing her job and being evicted from the family’s previous home. She continues to actively look for work but has not been successful. The family continues to go through the ups and downs of the flare ups and emotional fluctuation of processing abuse. Mother has continued to actively support the child, and with her support, the child who has a known language delay has been able to process and learn to express herself more using her expanding vocabulary. Mother ensures that both her son and daughter attend all Wraparound services. The family was left homeless after mother could no longer work to care for the children as she was unable to leave the home where the abuse occurred. The family ended up being evicted and later spent months awaiting their turn for a shelter. Mother was unable to keep any of her hard earned belongings and now that she was able to find a new home she is need of the noted items to finish furnishing their new home. DCFS is requesting a table and a sofa, in order for the family to be able to have these essential items in their home. This need is critical to ensuring that the family is able to bond and feel comfortable in the home. The estimated cost of the needs being requested is an estimated amount of $400 for a sofa or love seat and $350 for a dining table that seats four. For an estimated total of $750.00.

A 16-year-old foster youth was recently placed with his paternal grandmother after years of not knowing each other. Despite the sudden placement, the two are working hard to build a relationship and create a sense of stability.

The grandmother, who is on a fixed income and currently receiving no financial assistance, is doing her best to support him. The youth arrived with only a few items of clothing, most of which no longer fit. He is in need of a new wardrobe and would greatly appreciate gift cards to Tillys, PacSun, or Zumiez. Even donated clothes in good condition would help. His sizes are: XL for undergarments, shirts, and shorts, and 38x32 for pants.

In addition, the youth needs a full-size bed frame, mattress, bedding, pillows, and a dresser, as the home was not prepared for his arrival. Since the grandmother does not have transportation, a bike and bike lock would also make a meaningful difference, helping him get to school and connect with his new community.

This young man has faced multiple placement disruptions, and providing some of these essentials could help him find the stability and comfort he needs in this new chapter of life. Any support—whether new or gently used—would be deeply appreciated. Thank you for considering this request.

To assist the family in need of keeping the home organized and walkways clear in case of emergencies. Mother is a single mother caring for 2 minor children (one of which has autism) and two adult siblings also live in the home (one of which is also autistic). Parties share a two-bedroom home and although mother is able to provide for basic necessities, she does not have funds for dressers, so laundry currently has to be stored in piles on the ground. It is also difficult to maintain the cleanliness of the clothes when being stored on the floor. This is a safety concern as it limits walkway space and there are several people who need to get around including two people with delays.

Mother with four children is in the middle of reunification services and thriving to get her children back. Her benefits were cancelled due to children being removed from home, so we are asking for rent assistance for rent on time for Jy. Assisting mother with this gift will prevent mother from being homeless and gives her children a place to return to once mother completes her court ordered programs and the family reunifies.

Asking for monetary support to assist mother in paying a portion of her rent to prevent an eviction notice. This single mother fled a domestic violence situation, and has no family support. Mother has graduated from her domestic violence shelter and moved into an apartment with her children. Mother attends to the children full time. One of the children is autistic bringing additional responsibilities to mother. Mother is currently receiving a portion of her rent paid by Department of Children and Family Services. Support for this mother is greatly appreciated.

Currently working with a family who is experiencing some financial difficulties. Client has 1 ½ year old and a newborn baby. Client does not have a stroller and struggles to do community outings with both children. Client's 1 ½ year old has some physical disabilities that prevents her from walking. Client is not working currently, but would like to work once her baby is little older. Client is in need of clothing for her two children. I am currently working with a family in need of some baby items. Client delivered her baby via emergency C-section at 31wks. Father of baby has not been working due to caring for client and their older child. Father states he thought he had more time to save to purchase those items. Father has not returned to work since he is the one going to NICU daily. Family does not have a car seat to bring infant home once he is discharged or a bed for infant.
