We're currently working with a family that has had to abruptly move due to their young sons being around negative influences and causing them to get into trouble. Due to the move they're needing help with beds for the children as they are currently sleeping on the floor. The move has been a great positive change for these children and we'd like for them to start getting better sleep.

This family recently endured a horrific tragedy. The child is placed with her brother who is legally blind and her mother recently was involved in a murder suicide attempt. Child's brother and child share the same mother and are undergoing grief from losing the child's father as well as coping with the mother being in the hospital with gunshot wounds. Any type of meal service/Uber gift cards would help strengthen this family during the grieving process. Anything helps this family at their time of need and being that kinship is disabled, it would be very helpful to assist family with meals and food at this time to help alleviate the stress of eating/cooking.

We have a mother that is actively trying to participate in services and she just got a new job. She will have to wait for 2 weeks to get her first check. She is needing help with gas to get to and from work and to her family time visits with her son.

A pair of brothers, ages 15 and 9 years old have been living in kinship care with their grandparents due to concerns of domestic violence and physical abuse by their stepfather. The boys came to their grandparents with limited clothing and hygiene products. The grandparents were able to get the boys some winter clothing when they came however, now that it is summer, the clothing they have for them is not weather appropriate. They are needing a gift card to be able to go purchase summer clothing that will fit and be appropriate for the boys over the summer. Grandparents live on a very fixed income with them being retired and could use help with getting a gift card.

Grandfather needs a gas gift card to travel from CO Springs to Littleton weekly to bring child for sibling visitation and visitation with his mom. Grandfather is out of work currently and he has a lot on his plate helping out and this would greatly help. He would be appreciative of this kind gift.

Foster Care youth has emancipated into an apartment and is still in need of a few other items such as 2 pillows and a floor lamp. Youth is still attending high school and does not have a lot of family support.

Foster Youth recently graduated high school and is enrolled in a auto mechanics trade school in Denver. He will be emancipating to an apartment on his own and is in need some extra items for living on his own. He is still in need of a pots and pan, plates, silverware, vacuum(BISSELL Featherweight Stick Vacuum Cleaner type), broom, mop, and diffuser or a purifier. He would also like to have a bean bag lounge item for his tv area if possible.

Each year, Arapahoe County Human Services brings the spirit of the holiday season to life through our Partnering for the Holidays gift shop—a one-day event where Human Services clients can shop for holiday gifts for every member of their household, completely free of charge. From newborns to seniors, we serve more than 800 individuals in need.

For the past several years, Journey Church (formerly Elevate Christian Church) generously hosted this event. However, with the closure of their Aurora location, we are now in urgent need of a new partner.

We are seeking a community-minded ministry with an indoor space large enough to host this impactful event in December, located within Arapahoe County and accessible via public transportation.

A single mother of 2 boys is in need of your support. This woman has a 5-year-old and is expecting another baby in a couple of months. This sweet woman fled a domestic violence situation about a year ago and has struggled to regain stability since then. She has exemplified courage and strength in seeking safety and care for her family but still has some significant needs. Your generosity in helping to fund a travel system and a bassinet would give this mama the security and comfort of having these larger preparations for her newborn baby. 1 year old twins (boy and girl) are working towards return home with single father who already has a two-year-old in his care. Father recently moved into a bigger place and has been getting things ready for the twins to return home and is needing help with getting two highchairs and one additional walker for the twins.

A youth is placed currently in a residential facility and is in need of a clothes as he some of his stuff went missing at his last placement and he is in need of new clothes to replace what was lost.

A dedicated grandmother stepped up to care for her two young granddaughters when they needed her most. What was expected to be a temporary arrangement has now become a permanent placement—and she’s embraced this role with love, patience, and unwavering commitment.

To provide the best possible care, the kinship provider took time off work to focus fully on the girls’ needs. Now that the case plan is clear, she’s ready to return to work and has found a promising job opportunity. The only remaining barrier is a $70 certification: QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person), which is also a valuable asset in supporting one of the girls, who has special needs.

She hasn’t asked for any other support throughout this case, and this one-time help would go a long way. Your contribution would directly support a caregiver who has shown extraordinary dedication—and help her move forward with stability and strength.
