The children were placed with their cousins out of state and are not receiving any financial assistance. They are playing everything out of pocket.

The young couple took their cousins who are 2 and 4 into their home. They are not able to receive help with any expenses such as daycare due to them being a kinship placement out of state. The family has paid everything out of pocket and they are struggling to stay afloat with daily expenses. Caseworker has sought out other resources with no luck. We are trying to preserve this placement and avoid the children being placed in foster care or a shelter. This is the only family option and the only issues is finances at this time. The daycare is 2,972.00 and are asking for any help with the amount. There are no pre K or HeadStart programs in their area and they are both full time.

The family understands that this full amount may not be provided but any assistance towards it would be appreciated.

I am currently working with a grandmother who has taken placement of her four grandchildren. The caregiver has a very limited and fixed income and needs assistance with an air conditioning unit for one of the bedrooms for the children. This is needed, due to the summer coming and the increased heat and temperatures. This would greatly benefit the children in the home.
