CSW is requesting assistance for the family to obtain needed back to school clothing and shoes for the children. Parents were evicted from their apartment in April 2025. They are struggling financially and emotionally. In order to avoid living on the streets, the parents have moved in temporarily in with paternal relatives. The parents are working hard to save up for their own apartment however it has been difficult for them as they need to provide for their three young children as well. Mother is working part time as a security guard. Father is unemployed however he picks up shifts doing uber eats when possible. mother has worked hard to provide the children with a stable home free of any violence. Once the children were back in her care, she reduced the hours she was able to work so that she could tend to the children’s needs, ensuring they are taken to school, are able to do their homework, and eat a healthy meal. She has demonstrated her deep love for the children by nurturing them and providing them with stable home environment where they have been able to thrive. A small setback in their budget creates additional stress on the family. If the family were to receive assistance with clothing and shoes for the children it would help relieve some of that stress and allow the family to recover financially. The family was able to successfully meet their goals with the Department and the case is scheduled to close with DCFS next week.

Family needs a refrigerator for their family of 7. Mother has been looking for support from family and community resources to obtain a new refrigerator. Mother has been unable to locate funds and is in dire need of a new refrigerator to be able to salvage some of the recent groceries and also be able to have food in the home for the children. Mother has not been successful. Although, Mother is having that challenge, mother is meeting the case plan goals/court orders. Mother is committed to maintaining the family together. Mother is actively working on fixing her familial relationships. Mother is employed, and is doing everything needed to maintain her family. The main reason I am requesting this need to be fulfilled is for mother to be able to maintain and provide a safe environment for the children and a refrigerator for food. Requesting A BIG SIZED fridge that can have ample room for 7 household members, otherwise the consequence would be that mother will be unable to store food for the family in a safe manner. This need is being requested through Care Portal because unfortunately DCFS can not provide this item as soon as possible and the refrigerator is needed as soon as possible. . The estimated cost of the need/s being requested is insert a realistic estimated $700-1200.00. Mother stated she would take any refrigerator that can be of size to store food and perishable items for her family of 7.

We are reaching out on behalf of a dedicated single mother who is doing everything she can to provide a stable and loving home for her 15-year-old son. She works tirelessly to cover the essentials—rent, food, transportation—but like so many families, the extra costs of summer activities just aren’t possible right now.

Her son has an opportunity to attend summer camp this year—something he is genuinely excited about. This camp would provide him with a safe space to grow, explore, and make memories that every young person deserves. It’s more than just a camp; it’s a chance for joy, connection, and new experiences.

Unfortunately, this family is in need of some basic summer essentials in order for him to participate fully. They are humbly asking for help with:

We are reaching out on behalf of a newly referred family from Children’s Hospital Colorado. This family is currently experiencing a housing crisis and is in the process of relocating to a shelter. At this time, one of their most urgent needs is safe transportation for their children, ages 6, 5, and 4 years old.

The family is not yet enrolled in SafeCare services but is being actively supported through our intake process. They are facing numerous challenges and are doing their best to provide safety and stability for their children.

We are requesting the following items to support their safe relocation to temporary housing: • 2 high-back booster seats (for the 6- and 5-year-olds) • 1 forward-facing car seat with a 5-point harness (for the 4-year-old)

Any assistance or donation of these items would have an immediate and meaningful impact on this family’s ability to safely transport their children and access shelter resources.

A new mom is in need of your assistance ensuring her newborn baby has adequate sleeping arrangements. The mother has a used crib for the baby however it is missing a few screws. There are concerns that the mother will result in co sleeping due to the crib not being in fair condition. By assisting the mother with a pack n play will be assisting in ensuring the newborn baby has adequate sleeping arrangements and remains safe.

Great grandmother accepted placement of her newborn grandchild over the weekend. She is in need of a new infant car seat and other baby items. The current kinship family is requesting help with obtaining a crib mattress for a 1 month old newborn baby that was placed in their care. Currently, the baby is sleeping in a bassinet, and the family needs help in obtaining a mattress, so the baby can sleep in his crib.

A father who resides in Virginia is coming to Colorado to visit with his children age 15 male and age 14 Female. This father has never met his children and the DHS case here is supporting him reconnecting with his children. The father could benefit from support in purchasing a hotel room with a kitchenette for him to stay in while here. If this need is met he will have some finical support.

This request is for a 15 year old teen, and she's needing a large dresser for all her clothing and items. She currently has a small plastic one but just received more clothes for the Summer.

A single pregnant mother of a 11 month old daughter is in need of funds to help pay for parking at her appointments and her daughter. We are requesting $50 in quarters or a Visa gift card so she can use them at parking meters.

The mother is currently the sole caretaker to her two kids 17 and 2. The mother recently left her domestic violence relationship and is needing assistance picking up her home after the paramour left the home a mess. The mother shares her mental health has declined since the event and has fallen behind on the upkeep of the home. The mother is requesting assistance with cleaning her home.

Hello, this request will support a grandfather received placement of his two grandchildren. They are borrowing car seats from the previous placement and could use two of their own so they can return those seats.
