Single homeless mom who has been living in a park with her 6 yr old daughter was raped in front of her daughter today. We are requesting help to put her up in a hotel to keep them safe until we can provide more assistance for both of them.

There is a 16-year-old child with a with a 6-day old baby. She is originally from Guatemala and has been working and not attending school. she is need of all the support she can get as her family including her parents are back in her home country. The child is currently living with a family friend and is in need a baby supplies as she was unaware, she was pregnant and does not have money to get baby gear for the baby.

The client is a single mother who recently gave birth to twin girls prematurely at 33 weeks gestation. While the babies are currently receiving necessary care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), their discharge is anticipated in the near future. Due to the high-risk nature of her pregnancy, the mother was placed on bed rest prior to delivery and consequently had to cease working. Unfortunately, she does not have access to maternity leave benefits, leaving her with very limited financial resources.

Providing a double stroller with infant car seats will significantly ease the single mother's practical and financial burdens, especially since the mother was unable to purchase baby items. This will enable safe transport to appointments, simplify errands for baby supplies, reduce isolation, and free up limited funds for other critical needs. This support will facilitate a smoother transition home and empower her to confidently care for her premature twins.

I am updating the request to reflect that the client is now in need of only a double stroller. While the infant car seats have already been purchased, the family is still in urgent need of a double stroller to safely transport their newborn twins. The twins are scheduled to be discharged from the hospital on April 22, 2025, and the client currently does not have a stroller suitable for two infants. Any support in fulfilling this updated request would be greatly appreciated, as it will help ensure the babies’ safety and ease the transition home for the family.

Despite everything life has thrown at him, he has managed to put effort into improving his grades and engage in enrichment activities, all while actively seeking employment and preparing for his permit exam. He has expressed his challenges without a laptop, which hinders his studies and other online activities crucial for his development, such as job applications, potential career paths, and pursuing his hobbies like producing music. As he progresses and matures, having a reliable laptop will greatly enhance his ability to navigate resources effectively and allow him to save money for a car. Your support would be extremely appreciated in helping him achieve his goals and setting a strong foundation for his future.

The child requested assistance from the case manager in obtaining new clothing. Previously, the child attended a school that required uniforms, so most of her wardrobe consisted of school attire. However, she has since transferred to a new school that does not require uniforms and now has little to no appropriate clothing to wear. The case manager spoke with the foster parent about helping the child with clothing needs. The foster parent stated that the child would be receiving a $300 stipend in July for school shopping. Due to the lack of suitable clothing, the child has already missed a few days of school.

The child is very much in need of the following in order to go to school : Shirts, jeans, shorts, socks, pants, shoes, and skirts.

Her family recently lost their beloved matriarch—her grandmother—after a long and difficult battle with cancer. The student, along with her mother, younger brother, and uncle, are all deeply grieving this loss. Her mother, who is the sole provider for the family, is working full time while also navigating the challenges of moving to a new home and caring for her children. In this time of emotional and logistical upheaval, preparing daily meals has become overwhelming, and the family is in need of food support. Additionally, our student has a specific and urgent need: a durable, heavy-duty queen-size bed frame. She currently has a queen mattress but has broken multiple frames in the past due to weight limits. She is actively working on improving her health, but in the meantime, her broken bed is making it difficult to sleep properly, which in turn is affecting her emotional wellbeing and school attendance. This family of 4 children, is currently experiencing economic hardship. They are seeking assistance with food. The Dad is employed part-time overnight at a retail store. During the day, he attends training to become a full-time airplane fueler. Majority of his income goes toward paying their rent and utilities. The mother is a single mother to 2 children who have severe mental health diagnosis. The father passed away a few years ago, but the mother went through domestic violence with him. She doesn't have family in south florida. Due to the children's mental health diagnosis/size she is unable to discipline them. The oldest child has broken her windshield while she was driving out of anger. The mother is in need of financial assistance. Even though she cooks, if the children want something else, they won't eat the food the mom made and will throw severe tantrums. For example, if the youngest child wants wawa burger, and the mom doesn't get it for her because she couldn't afford it, the child will throw herself on the floor, urinate on herself, bite, etc.

Working toward the goal is reunification, the mother has made progress towards the goal. Little girl 1 y/o is one of three children. The mother’s visits have recently been changed to unsupervised. The mother is allowed to sign the child out from day care for her visits. It was reported by the daycare that the first day the mother signed the child out she was observed walking with the child in the parking lot without holding the child’s hand. The staff informed the mother to hold the child hand as there are cars going in and out constantly. The mother reported that she needs a stroller for her visits/ and upon reunification. The mother reported that she only works part time at Publix and does not have the funds to afford a stroller as she also must pay child support with her dependency case which she purchases clothing/ diapers and wipes for the child. The mother would be grateful for any additional helps she receives.

The client is currently experiencing significant emotional distress, stemming from the loss of three close family members in 2024, including her grandmother and two aunts. Additionally, her uncle has been diagnosed with cancer, contributing to ongoing emotional strain. The client is not currently employed, as she is prioritizing getting her children into school. Despite these challenges, the client is thankful for the support and is seeking assistance to meet her children's basic needs through the Care Portal case management services. These services will help provide essential items for her children, such as baby clothes, food, and other necessary supplies, alleviating the stress she is facing while managing her family’s situation. Items needed as follows: baby toys, a baby swing, wipes, diapers, clothes, toddler toys, baby food, a rattle, and a flow mat. *****NOTE: “This request is being submitted by Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County on behalf of the client.
