Elderly veteran who is living alone in his home in Florida without air conditioning. With the extreme heat during Florida summers, this has become a serious health and safety concern.

The veteran is unable to afford repairs or the purchase of a window AC unit due to financial hardship. We are seeking assistance in obtaining a window air conditioner or help with the cost of purchasing one.

Any support can provide would be deeply appreciated. This assistance would significantly improve the veteran’s health, comfort, and well-being during the hot months.

We have a family struggling with finances. Unfortunately their lights have been turned off. We are asking for assistance to get their lights turned back as they work through stabilizing the home.

The family consist of three children ages 3 (female), 15 (male), and 17 (female) years old. Due to the father suffering with a severe substance misuse addiction and not wanting to engage in treatment, the mother asked him to leave the home. The mother currently works from home full-time to support her children. Due to the father leaving the home earlier this month, the mother had to pay all of the household bills in the home on her own. This caused her not to be able to pay her car-payment for this month. Although mom is working, she is now the only source of income and provider for her family. Assistance with her car payment will help alleviate the stress of her vehicle being repossessed.

A grieving mother is facing one of the most heartbreaking and challenging moments of her life. She recently lost her father, a profound and devastating loss that has left a deep emotional void. In the midst of her sorrow, she is also trying to provide for her daughter, who is doing her best to help by working part-time at Ross, and the mother is currently working full-time. With nowhere else to go, both mother and daughter have been sleeping on her sister’s couch, trying to stay afloat in a space that is already stretched thin. It’s far from ideal, but it’s all they have right now. Every night, they go to sleep without the privacy or comfort of a room to call their own. Despite the immense emotional and financial strain, the mother has found a small glimmer of hope: an apartment that could finally offer them some stability and dignity. A place they could begin to heal. But moving in requires the first month’s rent, the last month’s rent, and a security deposit totaling $4950.00. She has a total of $1700 toward the moving cost. She is asking for help with the apartment costs with everything that has come crashing down on her in the wake of her father's death. The grief, the homelessness, the pressure to stay strong for her daughter it’s more than one person should ever have to bear alone. This mother is not asking for a handout; she’s asking for a chance to stand back up. A chance to give her daughter a stable home and start rebuilding their lives.

The mother is in need of assistance to pay the balance of her light bill.

A 26-year-old single mother of two young boys, ages 6 and 1. While she is employed and working hard to support her family, she is currently struggling to meet all of their basic needs. Her 1-year-old son requires frequent diaper changes and goes through a significant number of wipes each day.

To help ensure the health and comfort of her child, we would like to request a box of size 7 diapers and a box of baby wipes. This support would provide much-needed relief for the mother and directly benefit the well-being of her infant son.

This is a mother who was a victim of DV who is now on her own and trying to start over. She needs assistance with the help of utilities as her partner was the breadwinner. The mother is working to look for a job so she can continue to help with caring for herself and children.

The participant is a devoted single mother of four young children, including a set of baby twins. Over the past year, she faced the unimaginable challenge of homelessness, living in her car while doing everything she could to keep her children safe and cared for. Despite these overwhelming circumstances, she remained resilient and determined to build a better future for her family.

Through the support of Camillus, she was able to transition into stable housing — a major and life-changing step forward. Now, as she continues to rebuild her life, she is working hard to provide her children with a safe, clean, and nurturing home. However, she still faces financial challenges that make it difficult to afford essential household items.

She is in need of basic furniture, such as a sofa, as well as cleaning products to help maintain a healthy living environment. These items would not only bring comfort and stability to her home, but also contribute to the overall well-being of her children, creating a space where they can feel safe, relax, and thrive.

Any support provided would have a meaningful and lasting impact on this strong mother and her young family as they continue their journey of healing and hope.

We are assisting a devoted mother of four who is facing extreme hardship. For over two years, she has been stuck in a painful divorce with no court date, leaving her emotionally and financially drained.

She cares for her two youngest children and is now behind $1,150 in rent, with a monthly payment of $2,300. Her electricity bill is overdue by $152.78, and she’s struggling to pay for car insurance, her only means of transportation for her children.

Due to court restrictions, she cannot leave her 14-year-old alone or bring her to work. The father, who shares custody, refuses to help or allow flexibility. As a result, she lost her job. She now delivers for Instacart but faces challenges due to lack of childcare. She is also a survivor of domestic violence, with an open legal case. Despite everything, she actively engages with our agency’s programs and visits our food pantry weekly. This mother is resilient but overwhelmed. She urgently needs help to avoid eviction and keep her family safe.

The client currently resides with the father of her baby, their 6-month-old baby, and 17-year-old twins who have developmental delays. Due to complications during her pregnancy, the client was unable to work and fell behind on rent payments, which ultimately led to her eviction from her previous residence. She gave birth prematurely and continues to suffer from high blood pressure, which has delayed her ability to return to work. She is awaiting an appointment with a cardiologist next month to be medically cleared. Following the eviction, the client moved into a friend’s home. The father of the baby had been helping with rent, but was recently laid off and is no longer able to contribute financially. The client is planning to relocate to North Florida within the next few months, where housing is more affordable. She is currently seeking rental assistance in the amount of $1,000. The client lacks a strong support system and is in urgent need of financial and social support resources.

The client is a 33-year-old single parent of three children and is currently one month postpartum. She faces significant financial challenges due to unemployment and cannot meet her ongoing financial obligations. While the client is highly motivated to seek employment, she intends to do so once her newborn is a few months old. In the interim, the client has been referred for case management services to access necessary resources. Receiving support through CarePortal's case management services will provide the client with essential resources, including a stroller to facilitate neighborhood walks, promoting physical and emotional well-being. Also, the assistance will enable the client to access virtual case management sessions by addressing resources. This support will also help alleviate some of the client's financial stress by contributing toward clothing and utility expenses. 16 y/o girl is in care and in need of a laptop. The child previously had one, but it no longer works, and this is what the child used not only for school but to journal as a way to express herself and how she feels. The caregiver is currently juggling a lot and does not have the financial means to get the child a laptop. The laptop will be very helpful for this young girl to continue her studies.
