ERAT is working with a family who could benefit from a new bed as well as a new mattress for one of the children. The household consists of a father of two boys and the youngest son has grown out of his bed at the grandmother's home. The family lives in an area that was heavily hit by the hurricanes last year, so he has limited income following the storms. The father works a lot and is a single parent. The grandmother assists with watching the children when he works late shifts, so the bed will be for her home when the children are there. She lives close by the father and is his support system.

Single mother has recently moved into the Salvation Army Transitional Housing. Mother needs items for household use, including bedding, personal hygiene items, kitchen items. Items were found at Walmart Online

A maternal aunt has recently taken placement of her 1-year-old niece and is working hard to meet the child’s needs. While she has been able to provide for most essentials, she is in need of support with a few key items to ensure the child’s safety and comfort. The caregiver is requesting assistance with the following: Crib, Crib mattress, Crib sheets, & Stroller. These items will help provide the child with a safe and permanent sleeping space, as well as a secure way to participate in daily outings. Your support would make a meaningful difference for this family as they adjust to their new caregiving role.

One of our counselors has been working with a youth (16-year-old female) for several months to encourage school attendance. The youth has now been attending school regularly and catching up on missing assignments. The youth states she will be starting a new job during the summer and is excited to begin saving money. The youth will have to walk 50 minutes in order to get to and from work. Therefore, she would benefit from having a bicycle which would improve the youth's motivation and safety during the summer.

Two children were moved to their father's home in Sarasota for safety reasons. The father lives in Sarasota but his children attend school in North Port. He has had to drive them to and from school every day for several weeks so they could finish out the school year in their current school which has caused a financial strain for the father and affected his work hours. He would benefit from a gas card to help with the cost of the long trips daily and less work hours.

This resilient family recently relocated to Florida and has just secured stable housing. While they were able to cover the costs of the security deposit and first month’s rent, these expenses have left them with limited funds for furnishing their new home. To help create a safe and comfortable living environment, the family is in need of: A small dining room table with 4 chairs. A standard-sized dresser. Any support in meeting these needs would be a huge help as they settle into their new space. Thank you!

There is a mother and father who have been working extremely hard to not only be better for their two young children, but for themselves as well. They have five-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter who are the highlight of their lives, and also their proudest accomplishments. Unfortunately, both their children are not currently residing with them. If there is a way to help these devoted parents out by providing them furniture, it would put them in a better position, which would strengthen their chances of being reunified with their children. Both parents are working and have shown nothing but consistency and determination, to make their home a safe environment for their children to come home to. Providing the following items, would mean the world to this entire family. . Two twin kid beds (bed frame and mattress for both) . Queen size bed (bed frame and mattress) Thank you.

I am updating my original CarePortal request for #230486. We are looking to serve 2 children and 2 adults. The parents are in need of a queen size bed frame and queen size mattress. The parents are currently sleeping on a futon mattress. The parents were both having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, due the futon mattress causing them back pain. The parents even attempted to purchase a memory foam topper to hopefully add some comfort, but it did not help with the back pain they were and still are experiencing. Both parents would greatly benefit with having a new bedframe and mattress. They both work pretty demanding jobs, so anything to help their bodies recover at night as well be better prepared for their day, would benefit their overall well-being.

Mama of five kids is needing some help with car seats for her babies and a oven. The mom lost her job due to being sick with her new pregnancy and doesn't have the funds for these items. she has been borrowing car seats from her sister but she is needing her own. She is needing a convertible toddler seat for her one year old, a 2 in 1 booster car seat for her three year old and a 2 little boosters for her 6 and 8 year old. The mom is needing these seats to keep her kids safe in the car. The families oven is not working making it hard to cook for the kids. The mom cant afford one at this time.
