Single mother and her three children need assistance paying rent on their new apartment so they can finally have longterm housing.

Mother is currently staying at a long-term stay hotel where she has been harrassed and attacked at by other guests. She has been staying there after being kicked out of a shelter that was supposed to help her until she found more permanent housing and was allegedly robbed and manipulated by a service provider who took her money (which following a significant period of time was returned) and many of her items (which still have not been returned). However, Mother's section 8 voucher has been granted and she will be able to move into an apartment which she has secured but needs to put a down payment on. By helping her with this, she and her children will have long-term stable housing.

Urgent help is needed for a family who just had their water shut off. Parent is a single mother who receives limited help from the fathers of her children and is in the middle of getting back to work. Amount requested will get the water turned back on. Family has limited support and with five children and the hot summer months, the need for water is especially urgent

Family of 3 currently experiencing a sudden hardship. Mom and 2 kids left their home due to unforeseen circumstance. Family is staying with another family member right now until they can secure their own housing. Family lost most of their income due to the move and mom is currently working part time. Family currently only has the clothing that they left with and could benefit from any support. Mom identified urgent needs being - Hygiene products, clothing, and gas. Mom was able to apply for EBT, health insurance, and is actively working to secure housing.

If request is able to be met it would free up some of mom's funds and allow her to shift her focus to saving for housing.

A young person is in urgent need of a $200 Uber gift card to get to and from work, which is 20 minutes away. Right now, their entire paycheck is going toward paying for Ubers, leaving nothing left to save for a car. They're working hard, trying to stay consistent and build a better future, but the cost of transportation is making it incredibly difficult. This support would help lighten the load and give them a real chance to gain stability and keep moving forward.

However, Mother's section 8 voucher has been granted and she will be able to move into an apartment by the end of the month, but she needs to pay off her past due bills. This request is for assistance with her Evergy Bill. Helping her with these bills will finally let the family have a safe home.

We are requesting a motel night for 2 more nights. The mother and small child are waiting on an opening at a shelter or for the alleged perp to be moved from the shared residence. We thought this would happen today, but it is not going to move as fast as we wanted. Shelters have been contacted and waiting on an opening or approval. The mother and child could use a gas card and some food either taken to them or by way of gift card to price chopper or hyvee.

I currently have a single mom who has 10 kids who is in need of some beds or cots to help make her apartment more livable for her family. She is working so hard at getting the apartment together and really making it a home for the kids. She could really use the support from her community right now. She could use 2 full beds + bedding sets or some cots for the kids so they can have a place to sleep. She would really appreciate any help her community can help her with. Children's Division is currently working with a family that is need of bedding! single mother of 6 is currently working on relocating on her own thru the help of the state. During our visits it was brought to our attention the air mattress the children were sleeping on have broken. The children have been sleeping on the floor and CD is trying to help the mom get a couple more air mattress, Cots, or even a couple mattress of this family to have better sleeping arrangements. Ages of the children vary and anything to help is much appreciated. Extra pillows, blankets, sheets, all is acceded.

Family received a shut off notice from their water company. Baby arrived extremely early and began their stay in the Small Baby Unit. Due to baby arriving so early, baby has remained in critical condition. With baby being so sick, parents have been staying at bedside, trying to spend time with him and hold him. Dad's employment is out of state and he has been unable to return to work as he has been remaining at here, to spend time with baby and emotionally support mom and their other children. Mom shared with me that they are able to set up a payment plan to avoid their water being turned off but would need assistance with the initial payment.

Dad is having trouble finding a job as a felon. The mother left the baby and he is trying to remain connected with the baby. He needs and wants to visit everyday but not having money for gas is making it hard for him to visit. He wants to keep a strong bond with his daughter. He is needing gas cards to help him go see his daughter more.

This single mother recently moved to the Kansas City area looking for a better life for herself and her four children, ages 15-7 years old. One of the children is diagnosed with Spina Bifida, a condition where the spinal cord did not fully close in the womb, as a result this child has had multiple surgeries and may require more. The family is does not currently have beds and are sleeping on the floor of the home they are renting. The child with Spina Bifida had an inflatable mattress, but the mattress was punctured, so he is also sleeping on the floor. Being so new to the area, the family has not made many connections, so their support system is very limited. Any assistance for this family would be much appreciated and will go a long way into ensuring that the children are comfortable in their new home. Thank you for your consideration!
