Parents are currently homeless and working to find a place to stay. They have a one year old daughter. Both parents are trying to secure daycare and employment. DSS is working with the family and has referred them to housing, parents are donating plasma to stay at hotel but have run out of money. CarePortal also provided a stroller for the child but the stroller broke at the base and wheel. DSS is asking for a 200 gift card and stroller for the baby.

Mother is dealing with D.V. Aunt in old environment is refusing to give mother any of the child's belongings. Mother needs clothing for the child size 9-12 months, diapers size 4, and wipes.

This family is cared for by a single mother with two small children in the home that have developmental issues. Due to the mother's inability to work, there are some things that the family are in need of. The children are in need of two toddler beds, clothing, and possibly some toys. By fulfilling this request, the children will have a safer place to sleep, more enrichment, and the ability to be well-dressed.

Single hardworking working mother of five children has become behind on her electric bill and is struggling to keep up with her bill. She has been working hard to make payments to keep things up to date in hopes of enrolling in a payment plan. In order to do so she is in need of bringing her current bill up to date. She would be grateful for any help as she was in foster care herself and is striving to do the best she can for her and her children without any healthy family support .

Single mother who is currently working a substance use recovery court program has recently found housing. Her only child has been in foster care as a result of substance use. Mother is in need of a washer, dryer, plates and other household items. Looking for donations of a washer and dryer and any available household items. The mother has worked extremely hard in her recovery and is close to return home goal and these items will help her be able to have appropriate housing for her and her son to begin trial home placement.

A 9 year old boy is excited to go to his first sleep away camp and the family needs some help to ensure he is well equipped for his adventures as they are on a strict budget that does not allow them to shoulder some of the additional expenses associated with camp. The family is seeking help with procuring the following items:

We have a family, 1 adult, 1 child and a dog who have been displaced from their home. As of today, they do not have a place to live. They are looking for a permanent place to live or somewhere temporary until a place they can afford comes available.

I am working with a mother and father, who have a young child- and are struggling with lack of financial resources to replace the door to their home. They currently do not have a front door- it is entirely broken, and just props up on the frame at night but is not at all attached. It is a safety hazard to the family to not have a door to their home, putting them at risk of harm. Any assistance that could be provided to this family to either obtain a new door, or help them put the door in would be greatly appreciated.

I am working with a single mother of 7 children, with minimal support and money- who is in need of child proofing door handles. Some door alarms have already been provided to her, but she could benefit from the door handles as well- to keep her young children inside at all times- as some of her children are very young.

A 9 year old was placed with his aunt due to concerns for his caretaker. The caretaker has a child the same age and would like to have bunk beds to accommodate the 9 year old in her home. The home is actually in Floyd, but using a Salem zip code for the request.

A single mother with three children who is employed is struggling to keep adequate amounts of food in the home, despite being employed and receiving SNAP benefits, due to the increasing cost of food and her children being home from school, due to the lack of summer school this year. She would benefit from assistance so that she can stock items for the children to get through the rest of the summer.

A student here transferred to us from another state after his mother passed away from cancer. Within a year or a little more, his father was found deceased in March and has already been cremated. He is living with his grandparents. They are disabled and financially do not have the means to pay the cremation cost. Due to the inability to pay the cremation fee, the father's remains have remained in a box at the funeral home. They have deposited $400 against the overall cost of $2,500. Grandmother has also shared they were looking for an urn for his remains.
