This request is for a single dad with 4 children. His wife left him and the children over a year ago. He is struggling to care for the kids, two of whom have special needs. They survive on a disability check. Dad was recently gifted a used microwave that was full of cockroaches. He has since thrown out that appliance and is trying to use spray to control the cockroaches. Roaches were in the kitchen and the children's bedroom when I was in the home yesterday. They have a NECAC voucher and the landlord should have the responsibility to fix the problem but they have not addressed it. The father is afraid he will lose his voucher or his home if the bug problem is not taken care of immediately. This is a family that could use the love and embrace of a church in their lives. School starts up again next month, and they will need school supplies and clothing also. His clothes washer is not working at this time, so getting clothes washed is a struggle. Two year old boy entered into state custody due to physical abuse and domestic violence. Mom is ready for reunification and the only barrier is not having some furniture. In order for the child to go home, she is in need of a couch, small kitchen table and at least two chairs. Any help would be much appreciated.

The dad kicked in the front and side door and mom is seeking the door be repaired and locks be replaced. The youngest girl has a birthday soon and mom would like help getting her a birthday gift.

Children's Division Prevention is working with a mother and her daughter. Mom recently got a job and is needing help with transportation on the weekends until she gets her first paycheck. She has transportation secured during the weekdays. Mom is also needing some cleaning supplies until she gets her first paycheck. She is need of a trash can, trash bags, bleach, and pine sol. Mom's medical conditions have often left her bedridden and she has worked hard to clean up the house and wants to maintain it.

We have a single mom to four boys needing help supplementing some of the cost to fix the transmission in her vehicle. The overall cost of the quote she was given is $5500. She has some money saved up but does not have the means to cover the full cost of the repair at this moment. This has been a big financial obstacle for this mother as she has 4 boys that she needs to transport to and from doctors appointments, school, and getting herself to and from work. The family has a child with autism who has been eloping at night and setting fires and playing in the pool. The family is need of coded door handles and door alarms to help keep the child safe. The child knows how to unlock the front door and will use chairs to unlock chain bolts. The father was recently put in jail and the mother does not have access to any of their money and is unable to pay for these items at this time.

I'm working with a family that needs financial assistance getting their kitchen sink replaced. The grandfather in the home said it is currently being held up with a 2x4 wooden plank. The sink still currently works but the family is focused on getting it fixed so they can continue to use it without concern of it falling apart. I'm currently working with a family that could use some help. I opened my case initially to help with some household repairs that need attention. They recently let me know they are also looking at humane euthanasia for their older golden retriever. He's been a faithful companion for the whole family but has recently not been moving around very well. The family has tried utilizing help from family members but have been unable to get their dog the goodbye he deserves. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This young man is in a Medical Foster home. He requires a Hoyer lift for transfers in and out of his wheelchair. The current Hoyer lift is not functioning correctly and staff is in need of replacing it. This has been an issue for sometime and it would be a huge blessing to this home if they had a dependable battery powered Hoyer Lift.

His aunt stepped up to care for him and they have recently moved into a new apartment. The family needs a sofa, coffee table and complete twin bunk beds. Any help would be very appreciated.

Two year old male and ten year old female came into Children's Division custody due to substance abuse of the parents that directly affected the children. An aunt stepped up to take the children into her care. They are in need of several items to help welcome the children and make the home ready to be licensed as a kinship foster home. Family is in need of 2 carbon monoxide detectors and 7 smoke alarms. The family will also need help installing the items. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
