I have a mom and two children who need assistance with the deposit on their new home. Mom left an abusive relationship recently and has been working with Safe House and other area agencies to place the family in a safe home. Mom has rent taken care of but is short on the deposit. The deposit is $775, however, since she is working, she will have $175 of it next week. Leaving her with $600 to pay. Mom has already utilized her income tax money to buy a car for them. This is a family of 7 that need assistance w/ rent. The total rent is $1200, but they have paid $500 of it. Dad and Mom both works, but Child Support takes alot of dad's check leaving him with $160.00 per pay period, as per dad. Mom is pregnant (high risk) and has missed several days of work due to the complications at the present time. This family has never asked for any help, but Dad appeared to be desperate and wanting to take care of his family. Two of the 5 children spend half of their time with the biological mother and the youngest 3 are 2 and under (set of twins). The $700 dollars is to pay the reminder of this months rent. A single mother needs bedding for her daughter's twin bed for overnight visitation. The bedding is for a twin-sized bed, and the child is on the younger side. She likes the color pink, the TV show Vampirina, and Disney princesses. The estimated cost per Walmart for a girls' twin bedding set is $30- $60.

Due to youth's disability, he is in need of a certain type of glasses frame, but insurance will not cover the frames that are needed (bendable/less breakable). The insurance will cover the lenses. A grandmother has guardianship of two of her grandchildren, and now three of her other grandchildren have been placed with her that are in care. A home study was completed and passed, but for this grandmother to get licensed she is needing assistance with pest control. The initial cost is $160.00 for the provider to go out and then $95.00 for three more months coverage. By helping this family, not only will we be helping the overall care for the home, but this will benefit everyone's physical and mental health. This will also allow these three children to remain with family and their other two siblings. And by grandmother getting licensed she will be able to have additional assistance with funding to help take care of the three children in state care, which would be a major benefit for a grandmother raising five of her grandchildren on one income. A youth has recently been placed with a kinship family. For this family to be licensed for this youth to remain with them they are in need of 3 smoke detectors and a 5 lb fire extinguisher. This youth hasn't been placed with someone they've personally known for over 2.5 years, and this could really help this youth toward succeeding being able to stay in their current placement.

Single female parent with two younger children. A female elementary age child is severely autistic. A little boy goes to daycare. The mother just lost her job; she was struggling to keep up. The mother does not always have childcare for the children. The front brakes went out on her 210 Ford Edge SEL van. She cannot drive the van and therefore cannot look for a job or take the little boy to daycare. Campus Auto gave her a potential estimate of $172.52. Could you take the van there, or could someone help repair the van?

Single mom recently had to move on relatively short notice with her child. The short notice of the move did not allow mom to keep any of the money she had saved up for emergencies and she is now $200 behind for payment this month on her new rent. She has until Friday to get this paid. Mom is looking for a new job and is currently working with SSA on getting her survivors benefits straightened out. This family has two of their four children at home. The children have been in care for 15 months, and they have exhausted most of their savings from paying for rentals to visit their children in Rolla. The courts have ruled that the other two children, who have numerous medical appointments, require a reliable vehicle. On top of this, their apartment is being sold, and they are being forced to move, which is clearing out the rest of the money they have coming in. To have a reliable working vehicle, it would need a new windshield. The estimated cost to fix it is $295. Additionally, there are late fees and titling fees of $200, as well as property taxes of $91. Any help in getting this car fixed and made legal would be greatly appreciated, as it would help reunite this family. Any help would be greatly appreciated for this family that has just reunited.
