A family of two - a single mom and her 11 year old son - are in great need at this time. The mom is unhoused and doing everything she can to get by. She is very resourceful and accesses the public library and various community resources for assistance. She is in need of personal supplies such as hygiene products, non-perishable food items, clothing, and items for her son. She would greatly benefit from a gift card to Walmart to be able to get these supplies. She is working hard to become employed, gain stability, and be able to care for herself and her son, and this gift card would make a huge difference for this family! 2. For mom: Medium clothes, 8 in women's for shoes; for kiddo: 8-10 and a 6 in boys' shoes. They've been homeless for a long time and many of the belongings that she and kiddo once had were stolen, lost, or damaged, so it would be really meaningful for him to have something from mom that he can keep and have with him. He ha very recently been removed from mom and placed in a foster home.

A family I am currently involved with needs an additional bed for an 9 year old boy so he can have his own bed .Mom is completing nursing school and is needing help for a bed for her older son who is 9 so he can have his own bed. The mom is unable to work while completing school and needs assistance in obtaining a twin size bed and mattress for him. The family is open to used bed frames. The child is currently under thee care of her grandmother. After months of efforts, grandma and the child were able to get a two-bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, during the move, the furniture and other items became un-useable. Grandma is on a fixed income. Grandma is requesting support from the community to get the essential items so that their new home is livable.

Just last night (2/6/23), this family of six lost everything in a house fire. They are in need of everything to start rebuilding a safe home for the children. They need to fill all rooms where they are moving to including the bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living space. This request is for a single mother of two toddler girls, who just moved back to Colorado in May. The mother is still looking for part time work and has placed her daughters back in school. Mom has also started culinary school as a part of a program where she is living so she can get a good paying job to support her children. She still has to pay for after school daycare for her 7-year-old. This is still creating a huge financial obligation for her. She has applied for C-Cap but there is a waiting list. She is trying her best to get on her feet as she has recently left an abusive relationship and is coming out of two different transition and crisis centers. She could really use some help to get stability for her family. She is needing help with daycare, her car payments and insurance so she can stay mobile for the girls and herself to get to school and work in the future. We removed the request for all of the kitchen stuff, because she is in community housing that provides meals, and she does not have the room to store things. We also removed the bed and bedding request, because the housing is providing that for her and the girls while they stay there. No longer need the rental assistance since they are assisting her with that as well while she is in the program.
