Family is currently being evicted from their home and are in need of funds to stay in a motel while their situation is resolved. A daily rate is around $80 a night for the Days Inn and we are requesting a stay for 5 days, but we would like to give the family options, so that price may fluctuate. We are requesting $400 to help cover this need.

Hello, I am currently working with a family of seven—six children and a single mother—who are in urgent need of relocation assistance after leaving a domestic violence situation. The mother has secured new housing for herself and her children, but the family requires support with a $400 security deposit in order to move in. This assistance would help provide them with safe and stable housing as they begin to rebuild their lives.

A teen mom in our community is struggling financially to support her two young kids. A big necessity that they have right now is clothing and diapers. To support her and her children we are requesting clothing and diapers, and a baby gate if possible for safety measures. Mom's clothing sizes are small in both pants and shirts, and size 7 in shoes. Her oldest baby is a size 2T in both pants and shirts. Her youngest is 18-24 months in both pants and shirts and a size 6 in shoes. For diapers they need sizes 6 and 7.

A 16 year old male was just returned home to his mother. After being in care since 2023, and having stays in both a residential facility and juvenile detention, this young man was able to return home to his mother. He recently graduated from the residential facility and lost many of his clothes throughout his moves while in foster care. He is looking for some clothing, some of his favorite styles and brands are; ripped jeans, jeans with paint splatters or cool designs, sweatpants, plain t-shirts, Nike, Reebok, and Adidas. This young man is going to be starting at a new school soon and needs clothing to be able to attend school as he only has about 3 outfits right now.

Hello! I am an Independent Living Foster Care Case Manager at D.A. Blodgett St. John's in Grand Rapids. I work closely with youth who are transitioning out of the foster care system to help them achieve stability and independence.

One of the youth I am currently assisting is in need of a secure, locking safe to protect their important documents, such as their ID, Social Security card, birth certificate, and other personal items. Access to a secure safe will provide peace of mind and ensure these essential documents remain protected as they embark on this new chapter of their life.

Two teen boys have recently arrived at Bethany Christian Services after immigrating to the U.S. from Guatemala for better opportunities for education and their future overall. The two youth are not biologically related, but are now living in the same foster home, along with two other teen boys. The youth will attend weekly therapy sessions to work through past traumas from their home country, as well as grow in their emotional processing and independent living skills in the U.S. Because of their far location from Bethany, they are in need of two chrome books to complete these individual therapy sessions. These sessions will help the youth continue to thrive and develop in their placements, and having the ability to complete them virtually will lighten the load of their foster parents from traveling to and from sessions.

Hello, I am in search of a stroller that is infant friendly for a father and his infant daughter to maintain placement. The father recently gained trial reunification with his daughter and is in need of some items to benefit the infants growth and development. Thank you for everything!

One of our middle school boys is in dire need of clothing and shoes. His family has experienced extreme hardship, with his mother passing away last year and his dad passing away just a week ago. Now, grandma is the sole caretaker, but may not be able to financially take care of her two grandchildren.

I am hoping that a community partner can help us obtain a gift card so that we may go and purchase appropriate clothing (i.e. clean clothes, shoes that fit) for our student and his younger sibling as we work to take care of a list of growing needs on our end.

A family could use some help. This is an amazing family that is deeply connected to our school. Earlier in the year they experienced homelessness but have since secured housing. Recently the mother lost her job and needs some help providing gently used/new clothing and shoes for her 5 children. We have a great opportunity to support a young family who is a huge blessing to our community! This family moved to Michigan from Texas in mid-2024 and Grace's Table has been the place where they've found connection and support. The 19-year-old mom and her daughter attend regularly and go above and beyond to care for other families around them! Recently, their only vehicle broke down. As the husband travels out of town with a crew for his construction job, mom and her 18-month-old daughter have been without transportation. As a transplant to West Michigan without family support, the isolation the mom and daughter are experiencing is not healthy. The couple were able to pay for some of the repairs needed, but need help to cover the remaining cost. They both work incredibly hard and we continue to see them share resources and encouragement at every turn. We ask your help in getting their car back on the road so she is able to attend medical appointments, support groups, and even do simple things like grocery shopping! They had an estimate completed for the repairs (brake and suspension work) and we are able to share that if needed. Thank you so much for your consideration!

A brother and sister are in need of new sneakers; their current pairs are too small and have holes in them. Unfortunately, their mother is experiencing significant health issues in tandem with housing insecurity. When times are stressful and money is tight it can be hard to make sure all of the basic needs are met. One of the things Brookside is excited to offer this spring is a milage club, where students run laps to earn points and prizes. Having a good pair of shoes is important all the time but especially when running! Both students are in 2nd grade and need a size Y4. If possible, one would like pink and one would like blue.

The family of 8 is in need of help with the electric bill. They are currently on the budget plan and if doesn't get paid on time they will be removed from the plan. Mom is working but dad was the main bread winner and was recently detained by immigration. Mom has enough to cover rent, but not the bills. Mom has 7 children ages 16-4.
