Grandmother recently lost her job but would like to have her grandson placed in her home. This is a newborn and the grandmother has no supplies for the child. She is in need of a bassinet, diapers, wipes, bibs, and clothing. She will also require a infant car seat for the baby. She has a two bedroom apartment so some storage bins would be helpful but not a necessity. The grandmother is looking for new employment but needs help now in order to be approved for placement. The baby is due to be discharged from the hospital by the end of May. If she could receive this help it would give her the necessities for the foundation of her grandson to be placed in her home.

Mother and child recently was relocated due to a bug infestation/safety concern related to a DV situation. DCFS was able to help get a bed for her son, but she unfortunately had to throw away her bed due to the infestation. Mom needs a bed so does not have to continue sleeping on the floor.

A Mom and her two young sons who moved to Cleveland to escape a DV situation in Wyoming. Due to the quick nature of their move, they don't have many of the necessary kitchen/home items. An organization was able to get both boys beds, but they only came with frames and mattresses. The items requested will make this family comfortable in their new. Mom is currently job seeking and looking for summer camp for the boys.

A mother of four (soon to be five), was finally able to obtain her own safe, independent housing. Previously, mother and her children had been living with maternal grandmother for many years. The family is very excited to finally have a place that they can call their own. Mother is in need of a couch for the living room, so that her family can spend quality time together, comfortably. Currently, mother has a small love seat that can fit up to two people, while the rest of the family is sitting on the floor. A couch would be able to assist in making this feel more like a home and take worry off of mother.

The size of couch that the family can fit in their home is unknown at this time, however an update will be added to this request once that information is received from the caseworker.

Per the caseworker, mother does not have the dimensions of the living room, but it would fit an L shaped couch, that has separate pieces. The caseworker said that anything that is: 35”H x 85” W x 54” D or below would fit in the home.

Family of 3 Mother, Father & child recently housed after living in the shelter for 8 months. Family home did not come with the stove and is need of one to prepare daily meals. Both are looking for work, but it's been hard due to no Transporation or childcare.

13 year old girl, living with her aunt, has been having difficulties. She has urinated on the floor in her room multiple times. The aunt's apartment was remodeled with new carpet in September but the carpet is now ruined. This assistance would help alleviate stress and burden for her aunt as she will be responsible to pay for the damages if it doesn't get fixed.

Child also needs Spring/Summer clothing in adult women XL tops and women's 10/12 or 14 pants/shorts.

Loving grandparents who reside in Lake County are caring for their four grandchildren in their home, ages 19,11, 10, and 8. Grandparents are looking for help with registration fees and equipment for the children's sports. Grandparents feel it is important for the children to have an outlet after school. The children would like to play softball and football. In the past, grandparents were able to pull funding from a community program for the extracurricular activities, however the funding was cut, leaving the family without assistance to keep the children involved in their activities. The family's one basement wall is in need of waterproofing as water is leaking into the basement when it rains.

I am reaching out on behalf of a devoted grandmother who is preparing to welcome her 9-month-old grandson into her home through kinship care. She is eager to provide him with a safe, stable and loving environment but requires assistance in setting up her home to meet his needs. Specifically, she is in need of support with essential baby items, at this moment she does not have any items for this child. Grandma also needs a refrigerator.

This request is for an young boy, 9 years old, who is being moved into his aunt's house for placement, as reunification is not likely. The aunt would like to make sure that the child has all the items he needs to be successful, especially because there is a belief that the child was diagnosed with autism. He will also be attending a new school. She is asking for a dresser, desk and desk chair, and a small TV. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
