6 month pregnant female in need of baby supplies and M/L maternity clothing. Mother is in college for dentistry and miscarried earlier this year and cannot work due to risk of harm to her unborn child. Mother needs diapers for girl any size, clothing, wipes, car seat and crib if possible. Mother has no baby items yet and husband works but can only maintain the bills and has nothing left for baby items. Mother will return to work after delivery. Any assistance with any of these items is greatly appreciated for this family in need. Mother is working with a behavioral health case manager and prenatal social worker who has assisted with applying for food stamps and cash assistance.

A mother of two who just received housing after an extended period of homelessness is in need of home furnishings. She is starting over and only has a bed her neighbor gave her. She is in need of two twin beds with bedding, dressers, couch, tables, any furniture that would help make her house a home for her two children.

Young mother gave birth to a baby (male-5 months) and is currently on unpaid maternity leave. She has just taken placement of her two younger siblings (male -7 yrs old, female - 18 yrs. old). She recently moved to Cleveland in order to have her siblings placed with her. She needs help with food until her kinship care payments begins or she returns to work. The mother would also like a AC unit to use in her room for her baby for the hot summer months.

Loving kinship caregiver has legal custody of her cousin, age 14. Also in the home is caregiver's biological teenage child. Due to needing more space, caregiver purchased a new home. The family is getting settled in and some issues with the home have been identified. The washer has been draining in the crawl space. It is uncertain if there is a leak in a pipe or if the pipe is not connected to a drain. Caregiver also found that one part of the home has knob and tube electric. She is interested in seeing if this could be updated. Caregiver does not have the funds to get a plumber or electrician in the home at this time. Any help in having someone look at the situation to see if the drainage can be fixed or help updating the electrical would be appreciated.

A mother of four (soon to be five), was finally able to obtain her own safe, independent housing. Previously, mother and her children had been living with maternal grandmother for many years. The family is very excited to finally have a place that they can call their own. Mother is in need of a couch for the living room, so that her family can spend quality time together, comfortably. Currently, mother has a small love seat that can fit up to two people, while the rest of the family is sitting on the floor. A couch would be able to assist in making this feel more like a home and take worry off of mother.

The size of couch that the family can fit in their home is unknown at this time, however an update will be added to this request once that information is received from the caseworker.

Per the caseworker, mother does not have the dimensions of the living room, but it would fit an L shaped couch, that has separate pieces. The caseworker said that anything that is: 35”H x 85” W x 54” D or below would fit in the home.
