A single mother is suffering from postpartum depression and residing at the Rescue Mission. Her child is one month old, born June 6. The mother has no support as she grew up in foster care herself. This is her first child and the biological father is not involved. The Rescue Mission makes this new mother wake up and start chores by 445 am. The mother is suffering from lack of sleep as she has a newborn and is forced to leave the Mission every day by 9 am and not able to return until 3 pm. This forces the tired mother to take her infant often times to the library where she spends the entire day until she is able to return to the Mission. But even then, she is not allowed to access her bed until 7 pm. The mother does not use substances. Any support is helpful to this mother, but ideally would benefit most from a sponsor. Once the child is old enough, the mother would like to return back to work if she is able.

Our program recently enrolled this family in one of our Head Start locations. The family is made up of two adults and one child. This family relocated to this area recently. They have not been able to connect or establish a network of support, as both parents are working and trying to make ends meet. They currently do not have a vehicle of their own to pick up furniture. This family does not have much furniture in their home. They are in need of living room chairs as well as a dining room table and chairs. Anything, new or used, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration. A member of the portal was able to fulfil the previous request for a couch, but it did not fit through the doorway. Chairs would be a better option for the space. That's why I am creating a new request.

This family is pioneered by a single mother who recently moved into an apartment with her child. Currently, they have a lack of furniture to accommodate them. The mother has a limited income and has not been able to buy furniture. The family is in need of a couch, coffee table, and other miscellaneous furniture for the home. By fulfilling this request, the family will be able to feel more comfortable in their new home.

This family of 6 is requesting assistance in purchasing items for two of their children. The family is a single income household, due to the mother needing to stay home to care for their infant child who has medical and developmental needs. The infant is starting to develop well and has grown out of her diapers. The family is requesting diapers(Pamper's Swaddlers size 3) and wipes(Parent's Choice, any fragrance) for the infant. The family's oldest child is in need of white T-shirts(size adult small, NOT dry fit). The family is working on applying for benefits to hopefully help them further with financial costs for their children, but those benefits have not yet been granted.

Family is composed of five children spanning ages 4 to 12. The mother is the primary caretaker of the children while her husband works. A couple is currently residing with them. The family has been without HVAC since October 2024 and needs one or more AC units in the home to withstand the heat.

Single grandmother who is on fixed income has custody of her grandchildren. She recently requested assistance with AEP bill due to having to put extra funds towards several car repairs this month (two new tires, brakes, universal joint shaft). Her light bill is not in termination but due by the end of the week. Grandmother also has had her stove quit working due to something within the stove sparking and is unable to find the piece required to repair it. Asking for assistance with AEP and possible donation of stove. This grandmother has one child in her home who is under the age of 18 and one who just turned 18yrs old a couple weeks ago. Grandmother has been unable to use stove to cook any meals.

I have a family in need a size 4 diapers for their four children (any brand works, they currently use Parent's Choice). The family is also in need of a car seat for one of the children, specifically a 5-point harness for a toddler (possibly a convertible one if available). I am currently working with a family who is experiencing homelessness. The family has four children total, and the mother is currently 6 months pregnant as well. The children are 4 years old, almost 3 years old, 1 year old, and 7 months old. The father is currently working daily as well as attempting to pick up as much over time as he can and has been getting daily pay checks to help pay for hotel room stays. We are currently working closely with the family regarding getting into an apartment, however this process may take a couple of weeks. Until then, we are looking for some financial assistance in hotel stays so the father can save more money from his pay checks rather than using it to pay for a nightly hotel stay. The family is very thankful for any help they receive and would be willing to meet with anyone regarding assistance. We are needing a room as soon as today, please contact me for further information regarding the family.

Family is composed of two caretakers and one child aged 17. The family is living off of one income that is not meeting their needs. The mother can secure a remote position, but there is a barrier being her access to a computer/laptop. The mother is requesting assistance with obtaining a new or used computer/laptop. This would greatly improve the financial stability of the family.

Family consists of a mother and her 3 sons, ages 12, 10, and 6. Mother recently became homeless at the end of May. She sent her children to stay with relatives for the summer while she searched for housing. The Department was able to help secure housing for her with a move-in date of July 16. The children will return to the mother at the end of July. The mother is requesting assistance in purchasing 2 twin mattresses for her two youngest sons' bunk beds and a full mattress for her oldest son. Mother is not financially capable of purchasing these items, as she receives little support from the children's fathers. The Department has committed to buying the full mattress, so the 2 twin mattresses are what we need. Please consider blessing this family to help promote the children's safety and well-being.

This family is requesting assistance in purchasing 3-4 cans of formula(Enfamil NeuroPro Enfacare-blue can) for their infant daughter. She was born premature and has recently started eating more formula. The family is a one income home, due to mom having to stay at home to care for the baby, who has medical needs. The family also consists of 3 other children the parents provide for financially. Formula for their infant would help to ensure her growth and wellbeing.

A mom is in need of assistance with fixing her car. While driving, her hood flew up and smashed her windshield. She is in need of a hood replacement and windshield replacement. She is a single mom of a teenager who just recently started working. The car is essential for this family as mom drives the child to work and the mother has significant health concerns and needs the car to get to her appointments. She is on disability so she does not have much income to work with.  Mom has advised me that she could get a new to her hood and windshield from the junk yard for around $520. The car is an older model Honda Accord
