We are currently assisting a single mother who moved into a safer space for her and her daughter. She is on her own with her daughter for the first time. The property has plumbing issues and as you could imagine as a first-time single mom on her own, she does not have enough financially to fix unexpected issues such as plumbing. The middle bathroom is backing up into the tub whenever the middle bathroom is used or kitchen sink, washer, or dishwasher is used. There is a bathroom they are able to use adjacent to the bedroom. We are hoping there is someone in the church community that is able to bless this mom with their skills in plumbing. Thank you so much for considering.

Grandmother who has been raising her granddaughter since she was a young child, and was granted permanent guardianship in 2012. Over the years, her health has declined, making it more difficult for her to keep up with the day-to-day responsibilities of caregiving. Despite the challenges, her greatest joy is supporting her granddaughter and ensuring she has the opportunity to thrive. Granddaughter faces some mental health struggles, but one thing that truly brings her joy and helps lift her spirits is playing volleyball. It gives her a sense of purpose, belonging, and happiness. Grandmother enjoys watching her light up when she's on the court reminds her of why she keeps pushing forward, no matter how hard things get. Unfortunately, limited financial resources make it increasingly difficult for the grandmother to afford gas to get her to practices, games, and other activities her granddaughter loves. Grandmother is humbly asking for assistance with gas cards so she can continue to support her granddaughter's passions and give her the stability and encouragement she needs during this critical time in her life.

My R family adopted last year, and they are opening up to foster another child and also provide respites for families. They have one foster childcare seat for two vehicles, and they would love to have this car seat ($160) Go To Link

Single father of three, who has recently obtained full-time custody of his children. He is currently employed and working two jobs, while actively seeking employment that aligns with his degree in Business Management. Due to the increased responsibilities of caring for his children, the father recently had to step away from one of his jobs to be more present at home, resulting in a significant decrease in household income. He is now facing financial hardship and has expressed an urgent need for assistance with household bills. His most pressing concern is his overdue electricity bill, which he has prioritized to ensure stability and safety for his children. He is also behind on his mortgage payments. This request for support is contingent upon the father’s ability to contribute a portion of the utility bill, for which he is actively working to secure funds. Any support toward his utility bill would help this family maintain essential services during a critical time of transition.

Description of Request: Mom is the sole caretaker for her daughter. Mom is struggling to pay for the electric bill due to being unable to work due to medical conditions. Mom could not pay for her June electric bill. If mom could receive $300 for her electric bill, it would ensure that she could keep her daughter and herself in a safe environment for the time being while she saves up for future expenses.

Mother has a full time job but has been hybrid lately due to behaviors of her younger daughter which causes her to leave work and stay home. This requires her to be home with her when things begin to escalate, particularly at school. Due to mother’s change in work hours, she has not been able to pay the family bills and has fallen delinquent on her electric bill. Client is a single mother of four children who works full time to support her family. Despite her efforts, she is currently struggling to afford gas, which puts her ability to get to work—and provide for her children—at risk. A gas card of any amount would help ensure she can maintain her job and continue meeting her children’s basic needs.

. Description of Request: Unemployed single mother of two, along with her adult daughter, (single mother and her baby), is having difficulty paying her bills. She is not working due to suffering injuries in an accident. The electricity is on notice to be shut off between today and tomorrow. The family is in a depressive state due to hardships they have endured the past few years. They would be very grateful for the assistance.  

. Description of Request: Father is the sole caretaker of his disabled wife and younger son. Father can not work due to needing to care for mom full time but is trying to find a job anyway to help support the household. They are currently behind on their electric bill and are at risk of getting their electricity cut off again. The family needs electricity to run the medical supplies for mom and to also make sure they have air conditioning and a cooking source for the family. The family needs $585.53 to ensure they don’t lose electricity during the hottest months of the year.

A 54-year-old woman whose life has been shaped by unrelenting hardship and quiet suffering, she wakes each day to the reality of multiple debilitating health conditions that have stolen so much of her independence. She shares her small, overcrowded apartment with her daughter, who also struggles with her own disabilities, and a tiny 4.5-pound chihuahua. She has endured four excruciating knee surgeries, each one chipping away at her ability to move, left permanently confined to a wheelchair. Tasks that others perform standing, reaching, dressing have become daily battles she can hardly bear. Even as her body has failed her, she has held onto her faith and a fragile determination to keep going. Recently, her suffering has grown even worse. A new surge of pain in her back led to an MRI, revealing further damage to her spine. Each movement brings agony. In the hurricane, she lost the one piece of furniture that gave her comfort and relief her lift chair, which allowed her to get up and out of her wheelchair without unbearable strain. Though someone has generously offered her a replacement chair, she has no way to pick it up or bring it home. She is now humbly asking for help, so she can have the simple dignity of rising from her chair without pain and perhaps reclaim the tiniest measure of comfort in a life marked by so much loss.

A 24-year-old man living with intellectual disabilities and legal blindness is in urgent need of a new mattress. His mother, who is also his full-time caregiver, shared that his ongoing incontinence issues have made it impossible to keep his current mattress clean. Despite her tireless efforts—scrubbing, flipping the mattress repeatedly, and using protective covers—she can no longer remove the deep-set stains or persistent odor. She expressed her frustration and heartbreak, saying she’s tried everything she can think of, but nothing works. The mattress, once comfortable, has become a source of distress. She wishes she could provide him with a waterproof mattress that would preserve his dignity and comfort, but those are financially out of reach. He currently sleeps on a queen-sized pillowtop mattress that helps ease his back pain. The box spring is still in excellent condition, wrapped in its original plastic. All he truly needs now is a clean, supportive, waterproof mattress—something his mother desperately wants for him, but simply cannot afford on her own.

A single mother with three children (ages 3, 19, and 22) is in need of a bus pass to support her efforts to maintain stability for her family. The family recently lost their vehicle, which has made it difficult for the mother to get to and from work, attend medical appointments, and continue her job search.

Access to reliable transportation would greatly ease the family's daily challenges and support the mother in securing consistent employment. Most importantly, it would help ensure the youngest child can attend daycare and that the household remains stable while the family works toward long-term independence. Transportation assistance at this time would make a meaningful difference in the lives of all three children.
