I have a single mother that has three children at home and two children in care. She reached out and said that her radiator hose exploded on her car and she is unable to pay for the replacement hose and the labor that comes to putting a new one in her car. If she can’t get this fixed, she is in jeopardy of losing her job, thus losing her home and her other children possibly coming into care. She isn’t sure on the price but by googling it ranges from $350 upwards of $1200. Anything is helpful at this point. Thank you!!

I have a mom who just started her trial home visit and daycare won’t start till later in the month. Because daycare won’t start Monday, this mom is having to miss work and her job has really been understanding but she can’t miss 11 days of work. She is needing help with self pay until state pay kicks in.

Jackson County Children's Division is seeking assistance in supplying a family who is in need of Uber gift cards to help them get around town & to attend their visitation with their 4-month-old son. It seems to be that having a vehicle and stable housing are the only barriers this family is facing that might be preventing them from reunifying within the time frame they would like to reunify in. Otherwise, they are doing absolutely everything & more to be able to ensure they are prepared for their little one to come home. This couple is doing exceedingly well on their progress towards sobriety and reunification with their son! The couple is 120 days sober from ALL substances and are actively participating in all services at this time! The couple is SO determined to reunify with their son, that they took it upon themselves to join other additional support groups on top of what they're required to participate in. They have even provided me as a caseworker with other resources within the local community that I hadn't known about, to then research and give out to other clients to help them! That is one of the many reasons as to why I enjoy working with this family so much. I am very proud of this couple and am hopeful that Care Portal will be able to find something to assist this couple in finding transportation vouchers. Four children have been placed in a kinship home and as part of their preparedness kit, required by licensing, they all need to have sleeping bags in the event of an emergency. The children are bonded to this placement and even though she is not blood related, then think of her as their grandmother. Getting 5 sleeping bags would be greatly appreciated, as this is an expense the parent can't afford at this time.

The purpose of this request is to assist a youth as they prepare for the next chapter. The youth is preparing for college and has created a wish list through Amazon. Upon the request meeting approval, case manager will forward Amazon wish list link of what youth is requesting to assure they have what they need for their first year as a college student. Single mother and her three children need assistance paying rent on their new apartment so they can finally have longterm housing.

Mother is currently staying at a long-term stay hotel where she has been harrassed and attacked at by other guests. She has been staying there after being kicked out of a shelter that was supposed to help her until she found more permanent housing and was allegedly robbed and manipulated by a service provider who took her money (which following a significant period of time was returned) and many of her items (which still have not been returned). However, Mother's section 8 voucher has been granted and she will be able to move into an apartment which she has secured but needs to put a down payment on. By helping her with this, she and her children will have long-term stable housing.

This request is for a 20-year-old who will age out of foster care in the next five months. He is enrolled in a diesel mechanic training program and is motivated to start his career. He has an hourly job, but can only work limited weekend hours now due to his vocational training, which is unpaid. He pays his own rent and car insurance, recently bought a car, does not receive food stamps, and saves money to pay for gas to visit his two younger siblings who are also in foster care. Up until this year, he has paid his rent in full, but he currently owes $800 in back rent and is struggling to afford groceries due to his unpaid vocational training. Meeting his needs will help him maintain independent living, avoid eviction, and cover groceries so that he can complete vocational training and have a successful career when he ages out of foster care.

Urgent help is needed for a family who just had their water shut off. Parent is a single mother who receives limited help from the fathers of her children and is in the middle of getting back to work. Amount requested will get the water turned back on. Family has limited support and with five children and the hot summer months, the need for water is especially urgent

One year old little girl lives with a foster placement. She has recently started teething and has been chewing on her wood crib. The Foster Mother is worried about her ingesting the wood and paint. She would benefit from a mental crib

A 12-year-old child is placed in a Department of Mental Health home to meet her needs as she has several diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder. This child has a history of causing damage to furniture items when she is escalated, in the past six months the child has broken two TVs in the living room. The DMH company has replaced the TV once already and we would like to try to alleviate the financial burden, while also finding a solution to this issue with a case. Please consider donating a television to allow the children in the home to enjoy their favorite cartoons and prevent future damage with the case that will be provided by DMH. A devoted mother has expressed her need for a one-seater stroller suitable for her infant. As a single parent, she is navigating the challenges of providing for her new child independently. When we inquired about how we could assist her, she shared that having a stroller would make a significant difference in her daily life.

This family needs help paying their $5000 rent bill. They will be evicted on July 10th if they do not contribute to the total. The mother I have been working with is just returning to her job after maternity leave. There are 4 kiddos who live in this apartment who would not have somewhere to live if they are evicted. Mother and her boyfriend are now working and will be able to handle the monthly rent once it is down to a manageable amount. Mother has reached out to other community organizations who do not have funding to help her family at this time. Thank you so much for considering this families needs.
