Please assist in supporting kinship placement for 7-year-old twin girls currently being placed with grandparents. The family is committed to providing a safe and loving home but could benefit from additional resources to help meet the children's needs and ensure placement stability.

This grandmother has taken in her granddaughter with very little notice. She doesn't have the financial means to get beds for her and her other grandchild staying with her. She has had the youngest grandchild sleeping with the youth in care on a somewhat dilapidated bed. We would like to provide the family with a bed for the youth in care as well as an additional bed for the other grandchild so she doesn't need to sleep in a bed that is breaking down. The youth also needs a dresser because there isn't enough space in the current dresser for her clothing. We would like to provide this to her so that she doesn't need to keep her clothing in boxes or her duffel bag.

We are working alongside a single mother who is disabled and raising two younger children - a 7 month-old baby boy who has asthma and a 2-year-old toddler as well. They are currently living in a duplex that does not have heating or air conditioning. As summer temperatures are rising, the home becomes very hot and uncomfortable for the family and the little ones. The family has tried opening the windows and it does not help the situation.

The infant has asthma symptoms that are aggravated by the heat, and she has no alternative way to cool down her home. We've reached out to the family's medical insurance to see what support and services they could provide, and they could not provide any at this time. This mother is urgently in need of a portable air conditioner to help make a difference in keeping the kiddos cool. If you know of any programs within the Fort Scott, KS area that we could connect her to or if you could be so kind to donate even a tiny bit of financial assistance to help her get this, we would appreciate it. This need could also help with reunifying her child that is already in Foster Care.

Mother needs financial assistance to get into sober living. She tragically lost her 2 older children due to a murder-suicide involving their biological father. She has been in active additional for the past 7 years and is looking to change to help herself and her 2 year old daughter. She had completed inpatient treatment and is currently sober and needing help going somewhere safe to continue building her life back for her and her daughter.

17 year old boy will turn 18 this month and will be aging out of foster care and moving into a group home for adults with developmental delays. He does not have any family or supports outside of his child welfare worker. He has asked for a desk and gaming chair for his new bedroom at his new home for his birthday.

The family is having difficulty keeping their home cool in the summer. They are in need of a window unit A/C.

Over the past 3 months, Safe Families has been serving a single mom and 5yo daughter who are experiencing homelessness. A volunteer host family has been caring for the 5yo over the last 3 months so that mom had time to focus on stability for her family. Mom was able to get keys to an apartment last week! Mom and daughter are excited to be back together and restart! Unfortunately the family has no household items. In order to reunite this family, they need to have beds to sleep in. All other items needed too, but beds are a priority. If you have gently used beds/bedding or would like to help fund this need, the family would be very appreciative. DCF is working with a family of three children (3 years, 6 years, and 8 years), one with significant health issues (heat induced seizures, and other diagnoses') and 2 adults. The family is facing eviction at midnight (6/30/25). Family has reached out to other local agencies who stated they are out of funding. Family has gotten their waitlist letter for Hud and is applying for TBRA. The family would benefit from assistance in temp housing until they get funds on the 15th of July.

This family is in need of two sets of bunk bed frames. There are 5 children in the home and a 6th on the way. They live in a two-bedroom home with multiple children sleeping on the couch and floors due to not having enough beds. The family is working with Children's Division to better their situation and stay together.

A single mom of 3 boys just got a new apartment and has absolutely no furniture other than a fridge. Anything available would be appreciated, pots and pans, couches or chairs, entertainment center, tv, dinner table and chairs, cups, plates, bowls, coffee table, microwave, stove, etc.

Mom DOES need a queen- or full-size bed due to the fact she doesn't have a bed; she's been borrowing a bed.

A single mother of 3 boys just started a new job and is in need of extra clothing/items for the job. She will be working 2 jobs now that she started this one. Her needs are as follows: Size 7 steel toe work boots. A sun hat. Gardening gloves. Size 34-30 jeans

We have a young lady who is accepting her preteen niece into her home. The preteen is recent to foster care. The aunt and uncle have rearranged their apartment in order to allow the niece into the home. With this the family is in need of a bed and dresser for this child.This would allow the child to be in a kinship home that she has a relationship with.
