Single mother of a youth who recently lost her job, denied unemployment and new to obtaining public benefits. Her mental health is taking a toll on her and is connecting to mental health supports. She is currently overdrawn in her accounts and starting to fall behind with her bills. She needs assistance with paying her electric bill in the amount of $58.00. This assistance will allow her to continue her focus on finding gainful employment.

Hi! I am currently working with a family who has two of the sweetest little girls I have ever met. The girls were removed about a year ago due to ongoing concerns of substance usage in the home. The girls are currently with a kinship placement who has been providing for them without the financial support of either parent as they do not contribute much to the kids in terms of their needs. Both girls will be starting at the same school in August and they are in desperate need of all things school and school supplies related (backpack, lunch box, pencils, markers, paper, ext.). One will be going into kindergarten and the other will be going into 2nd grade. I am really hoping to alleviate some stress and help out the placement provide to ensure that the girls have everything they need to start school in August. Any help would be greatly appreciated whether it be through a gift card to allow the girls to pick out what they want or someone who would like to spend some time doing some back to school shopping for the girls. A mother who is working towards reunification with her child and having family time with her 1 year old daughter in her home is needing a large standing baby gate and cabinet locks to ensure that her home is baby proofed and safe for child to be there.

This request is to help support a mother of 3 children by providing mattresses to provide adequate sleeping areas for the children. There are three children in this home, and all children are needing an individual mattress/sleeping area.

Any consideration for part of this request or all of it is greatly appreciated.

We're currently working with a family that has had to abruptly move due to their young sons being around negative influences and causing them to get into trouble. Due to the move they're needing help with beds for the children as they are currently sleeping on the floor. The move has been a great positive change for these children and we'd like for them to start getting better sleep.

This family recently endured a horrific tragedy. The child is placed with her brother who is legally blind and her mother recently was involved in a murder suicide attempt. Child's brother and child share the same mother and are undergoing grief from losing the child's father as well as coping with the mother being in the hospital with gunshot wounds. Any type of meal service/Uber gift cards would help strengthen this family during the grieving process. Anything helps this family at their time of need and being that kinship is disabled, it would be very helpful to assist family with meals and food at this time to help alleviate the stress of eating/cooking.

A young boys grandmother recently took him in due to his parents not being safe. Grandma is a on very fixed income and couljd really use help with clothing for her grandson. She's got her hands full t13c in kids shoes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a client with a sweet infant in need. The infant was born with multiple genetic conditions. He is getting surgery on his skull in a month to correct fused sutures (a first step in his upcoming medical journey). At a recent physical therapy appointment, the therapist requested the family get a specific chair for the child to sit in (Go To Link This family is doing an amazing job addressing baby's physical challenges, but they are having a hard time financially. The family looked to some other programs for support in getting the chair but had no luck. The hope is that with this chair, the child will be able to develop appropriate muscle groups and keep his head off the floor once he has his helmet in place (for many upcoming months), making it more comfortable for him.

A bonus request from the nurse: The chair is a priority, but knowing that the family is in a tight financial spot, I would also like to request a large can or two of Enfamil Gentlease Formula (they are on WIC, so they get enough for about 3 weeks of the month...but could use some extra to make sure baby has enough to have nutritional needs met for full month).

A pair of brothers, ages 15 and 9 years old have been living in kinship care with their grandparents due to concerns of domestic violence and physical abuse by their stepfather. The boys came to their grandparents with limited clothing and hygiene products. The grandparents were able to get the boys some winter clothing when they came however, now that it is summer, the clothing they have for them is not weather appropriate. They are needing a gift card to be able to go purchase summer clothing that will fit and be appropriate for the boys over the summer. Grandparents live on a very fixed income with them being retired and could use help with getting a gift card.

Foster Care youth has emancipated into an apartment and is still in need of a few other items such as 2 pillows and a floor lamp. Youth is still attending high school and does not have a lot of family support.

Foster Youth recently graduated high school and is enrolled in a auto mechanics trade school in Denver. He will be emancipating to an apartment on his own and is in need some extra items for living on his own. He is still in need of a pots and pan, plates, silverware, vacuum(BISSELL Featherweight Stick Vacuum Cleaner type), broom, mop, and diffuser or a purifier. He would also like to have a bean bag lounge item for his tv area if possible.

Each year, Arapahoe County Human Services brings the spirit of the holiday season to life through our Partnering for the Holidays gift shop—a one-day event where Human Services clients can shop for holiday gifts for every member of their household, completely free of charge. From newborns to seniors, we serve more than 800 individuals in need.

For the past several years, Journey Church (formerly Elevate Christian Church) generously hosted this event. However, with the closure of their Aurora location, we are now in urgent need of a new partner.

We are seeking a community-minded ministry with an indoor space large enough to host this impactful event in December, located within Arapahoe County and accessible via public transportation.
