The children cannot live in the home of their grandmother who can take them. They were in a single parent home and Mom died, they are staying with an 84-year-old great-grandmother in a very small home and need to get into grandmas. She needs a dumpster urgently so that she can clean out her 2-bedroom home to accommodate the kids. She has too many boxes, bins and clutter to have them live with her comfortably or safely and there are 3 kids, so it really needs to be able to have all the rooms used. PLEASE HELP!! Great Grandmother cannot keep them. Would be great if this dumpster could get delivered on MONDAY so that they can get the house cleaned out by Friday and the kids can get into the home. Great Grandmother is hanging on, but barely!! A dumpster that is going to be delivered is being arranged, we are desperate to keep the kids with their grandma they have had so much tragedy and loss.

Grandmother has kindly committed to caring for her grandchild under a temporary placement agreement, but she requires assistance with a few essential items:

Now, she’s taking the next step toward stability - securing a home where she can plant roots and truly take ownership! However, the home needs a lot of work. Demolition, paint, cabinets, flooring, and more. It’s not move-in ready, and we can’t do this alone. We need the community’s help to turn this space into a safe, welcoming home for her and her children. This is more than just a renovation. It’s a chance to invest in someone who is becoming a leader in her community - someone committed to walking with and supporting other families on their journeys. Baby is currently admitted to the NICU with a cardiac defect but is expected to discharge home in a few weeks. Family recently relocated from Wyoming. Baby was being followed in Children's Mercy High Risk Fetal Health and mother was unable to work during pregnancy. Father is the only one supporting family. Parents families are back in Wyoming and unable to assist at this time. Parents are in need of a crib and crib mattress. Thanks for your consideration!

The youth in question is 18 and is in State's Custody as a foster youth. She was living with her uncle in an apartment in Independence, MO but unfortunately, her uncle recently died leaving her with no money or resources. My youth was on the lease with her uncle and has to take over the utility bills and rent. She is currently only working part time minimum wage and does not have a permit or driver's license. She has very little money saved and has even less family support. We are requesting $200 either cash/check to help her with paying for next month's utility bills to get her through the next month until more services can be put in place to further support her in this time of need. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

I'm reaching out on behalf of a mother who is working hard to create a safe and nurturing home for her young child. She is in need of a few essential items to help furnish her space and support her child's development. Specifically, she is looking for a toddler bed, a small dresser, a kid-sized table and chairs set (for meals and activities). This family has experienced hit after hit recently, and just when they think they get ahead, they take two steps back. Moving forward, they will be able to pay rent, and have already secured July's rent. However, due to some miscommunication the family owes a little over half of June's rent, utility fees, and late fees for the month of June. The family is looking for other resources to pay, and the school social worker has referred them to Northland Miracles, but getting this paid for and helping them have a $0 balance as they head into July would relieve the stress on the entire family. The total they currently need help with is 973.29, but there is a possibility that more late fees will accrue between now and July 1st.

Single mom who recently split with her ex due to a domestic violence situation. When her ex left the home, he took her washer and dryer. Mom has 3 kids under the age of 5 in the home and is struggling to afford to go to the laundry mat to wash and dry clothes. Mom is in need of a washer and an electric dryer. Mom reports that she has the hoses for the washer and the vent hose for the dryer. Gently used washer and dryer would be greatly appreciated.

This family is looking for help to assist in covering legal fees to help waive previous warrants to ensure they are able to apply for low-income housing. The family is currently living doubled up with another family and are seeking urgent assistance in helping come up with $1,000 to try and cover their legal fees. This would help the mother, clear her past warrants, which would help her ensure she can apply for housing and not have anything preventing her from getting on the list. This family has worked very hard at doing all the tasks necessary to ensure they can reunify. The family is on steady progress to have overnight visitation, if they can obtain housing that is safe and appropriate for the baby. Therefore, the couple is urgently needing help in supplying $1,000 for their legal fees to be able to dissolve all warrants attached to their names, allowing them to apply for housing. A local family is caring for three children with significant emotional and behavioral needs, while also navigating an incredibly difficult personal season—including the recent loss of a close family member and the anticipated passing of another loved one. Amidst the grief and daily challenges, they are doing their best to provide stability and care.

Summer shorts and shirts in girls’ size 10/12 — stretchy waistbands or adjustable fits are ideal. She loves fun, bright, girly styles and would be thrilled by anything colorful or floral. Female youth who wears a size medium in women's and size 6 in women's shoe who is also in need of tops, shorts and shoes.
